This is important. If trans women are forced to use single sex spaces, our already high risk of becoming victims of rape and coerced sex escalated. Because of the libel that we are predators, actual predators see us as fair game.

"Trans women are women, Trans men are men, Non-binary people are... Non-binary? Valid?" The reason this phrase can never end satisfyingly is because there's no really snappy way to say "the gender-class system is an oppressive sham and people shouldn't require external validation to exist"

People have interpreted this as a call for a boycott, when I actually want a wealth tax so aggressive it'd make Lenin say, "steady on, lad" if Lenin talked like Wallace from Wallace and Gromit.

Guys, I love all of you, but the answer to RFK, Jr. is not that autistic adults hold jobs, pay taxes, and get laid, it's that everyone deserves to live even if they can't work, pay taxes, or get laid.

There will be entire soccer stadiums chanting "Joannie's in a box" when she dies.

Rfk: autistic people will never contribute to capitalism Liberals: here are many autistic people who contribute to capitalism Rfk: exactly, we both agree that the rest of autistic people can go in the Machine This is why you don't legitimize a guy who wants to mass murder people.

A lot of people want to separate the art from the artist, but I would settle for separating the artist from her money.

sigh.

It is somehow less embarrassing to be a Naruto nerd than a HP fan. Believe it.

I've sent two appeals to bluesky staff, one in January, one yesterday. Neither were responded to

We have too many capybaras, says no one ever, except this Argentine town. www.nytimes.com/2025/04/17/w...

Not to be a bitch but if you're going to make an account on here to yell at other trans people over our supposed lack of tactical foresight you should probably have a good explanation for why you got so arsey with those of us who didn't trust Kier Starmer in the run up to the last general election.

Sex doesn't exist in the same way borders don't exist in the same way property doesn't exist. Each describes a power relation wherein a dominant class uses violence to deny the autonomy of the oppressed class, and yet in each case the dominant class insists it's a real part of the Natural Order.

As we have seen from the absurdity of the destruction of legal routes to seek asylum, the absurdity does not matter to our government and the costs of judicial and policy absurdity will always be pushed downstream. Against Borders, Against Sex

Is it me or is saying 'trans people are still protected from discrimination!' a bit like 'no homo' but for human rights violations

Yesterday the UK proved it hates trans people, and today my 77 year old butch mum got aggressively questioned about her genitals in a public loo.

Please more cisgender people do this. Read @jessothomson.co.uk's and @goodlawproject.bsky.social's articles on the impact of the supreme court ruling and demand primary legislation to urgently safeguard trans rights.

Reposting this for no particular reason

Yesterday’s Supreme Court ruling will feel heavy for many of us - especially the trans community. The mental health toll of public debate, constant scrutiny in the media, and legal decisions like this is profound. For trans people, this isn’t just political or legal. It’s personal. Exhausting. 1/4

As chair of UCU's Women Members' Standing Committee, I am proud to be part of a union that has been a leading voice in the movement for trans rights for the last few years.

UCU stands with trans people, today and every day. The Supreme Court ruling is not just wrong, it’s dangerous. We will never stop fighting for trans rights and equality. #TransRightsAreHumanRights #Solidarity

The guardian analysis of the ruling and many others have sought to undermine the seriousness of this ruling and what it means for discrimination, because technically the law protecting trans people from transphobic discrimination (from 1999) still stands.

Has anyone ever done some like, pirate-themed electronic music? You could call it Rum & Bass

If Swinney was truly an LGBT+ ally, as he's claimed, he'd have no hesitation leaning into this as another argument for independence. Instead, he's taking the coward's way and capitulating to the far right creep he claims to want to fight.

Abolish Sex

Trans rights arguments are a kind of signal that we make to show cis people that we matter and our lives matter and our suffering matters and our social exclusion matters. But you can ignore all of those things just as easily as you can ignore our arguments. In the end we just say no. Let us be.

Having excluded all trans people from proceedings before it, the Supreme Court decides in favour of For Some Women Scotland.

Tell ya what pretty fucked up to see terf language “man who identifies as a woman” in an official ruling

This is what anti-trans extremist organisations and individuals are relying on They're banking on a system that already works in their favour - where institutions meant to protect the marginalised have sidelined Trans+ people from having any real say in the laws that impact their safety and freedom

I'll be working as fast and as thoroughly as I can today, but I am not going to beat the GCs who have seen this judgment days in advance. Please wait for actual analysis from friendly sources to come out before believing whatever propaganda gets spread about this case.

Whichever way this goes British transphobes will claim victory in the headlines so remember to stay cool, check to see what the court actually says, & remember that a crucial part of the issue here is Gender Recognition Certificates, which are very specific to the British legal system

Welp, Spotify took the podcast posts down anyway. I have explicit and official permission, and Spotify just didn't respond. Thing is, I barely even care if we're on the service, save for the listeners who use it. I am simply disgusted at how Spotify has conducted itself with all this. |

The critics of rainbow capitalism were one hundred percent right, and are now being grimly vindicated. It was a grievous mistake for movement leaders to tie our lives, our safety, and our acceptance to corporations.

The existence of Tim Curry and Tim Rice leads me to hope that somewhere there is a Tim Naan.
