AEW’s World Championship scene is the weakest part of the program right now. I’m happy for Powerhouse Hobbs, but nobody saw the gauntlet going that way. That’s not a “big fight feel” match for Maximum Carnage. And there’s too many people vying for it with no true contender/angle.

Worlds End was a great PPV overall and one of the low points was the main event world title angle. Both things can be true and both things are worth talking about. There are so many bad faith critiques on AEW that well meaning ones get lumped in too and that’s a wrong way to grow an audience.
