I assume the only difference between this platform and 'the other place' is the choice the owner makes as to what content they choose for their algorithm to push. Great comparison to show just how strong the political bias was over there. I hadn't realised, and I'm fairly clued up.

The more this place reminds me of why I liked social media so much the more I realise that I stopped doing so a long time ago. It’s extraordinary what happened. The volume & violence of posts from accounts you had never shown the slightest interest in just exploded. It must have been deliberate.
