Taking cover in a parking garage while rain, thunder & lightning pass by. Really thought the bad weather was going to hold off for a bit. 😁 #yegbike

For day 25/30 of #yegbikemonth I left early this a.m. & biked horizontally across the city to one of our transit garages & it was A+. Love this cooler weather. πŸ™Œ #yegbike

For day 23/30 for #yegbikemonth, I cycled to/from work & thankfully left after the thunder/rain/hail this a.m. #yegbike Also, I highly recommend outdoor time, even just for a few minutes, instead of doomscrolling about truly terrible news in the world right now.

Spent a beautiful morning with Bent Arrow Traditional Healing Society for a celebration of National Indigenous Peoples day, including drumming, dancing, storytelling and artisans. It was so lovely. 🧑

Day 17/30 of #yegbikemonth included a ride downtown from Stadium station, followed by a ride from downtown to ACT rec centre for a meeting, then a phone meeting in Rundle park before cycling back to the station. The sun was shining & gotta say, it was pretty sweet. #yegbike

We've partened with ETS and β€ͺ@etriders.bsky.social‬ to collect feedback about cycling safety and transit buses. We want to hear about interactions you've had (good or bad) so that we can work to make cycling near transit safer for everyone! tally.so/r/3Xkpve #yegbike #yegtransit

Day 16/30 of #yegbikemonth & that means embracing my bungee cord era. Also, the sun is shining & it's not smokey. βœ… #yegbike

A lot of rain. A lot of skills. A lot of fun. Spent the day supporting Operators at the transit roadeo, for their skills competition. 🚌 πŸš‰ #yeg

On day 13/30 of #yegbikemonth, I'd like to give a shoutout to these clouds. The sky got angry just as I left to cycle to a meeting, I got drenched & had to turn around. πŸ˜‚ #yegbike

Yes yes yes! πŸ’™πŸ§‘ #LetsgoOilers

Let's go, Oilers.

Thank you Safeway for the awesome birthday cupcakes for kiddo, a huge Oilers fan! πŸ’™πŸ§‘

Another windy ride on day 7/30 of #yegbikemonth. Smoke/air quality levels are going to get worse later today, so got out early. The sound of these leaves blowing in the wind is A+. #yegbike

What a goal! #LetsgoOilers πŸ’™πŸ§‘

Another day, another windy ride for day 6/30 of #yegbikemonth. Beautiful clouds, too. πŸŒ₯️ #yegbike

Love the texts during Oilers games from friends all across the country who are cheering with us! Let's go, Oilers! πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦πŸ’™πŸ§‘

Another commuter ride this morning to work for day 4/30 of #yegbikemonth. Saw two rabbits, a gopher and a chipmunk along the way-> clearly I'm not the only one appreciated the extra daylight 😁 #yegbike

Neighbourhood ride for day 3/30 of #yegbikemonth & it's also World Cycling day 🚲. The ride was for my mental health more than anything else today. πŸ™Œ (And yes, I'm going to post each day this month to hold myself accountable to the goal of a ride a day.) #yegbike

Today's gratitude moment is that I missed the rain & thunder on my ride home. The sky was also amazing. πŸ™Œ

Day 2/30 was a 15 km ride to work this a.m. & it was lovely. Really enjoy going through quiet residential areas along the way. My phone flew out of my bag en route so I really should remember to zip it up. πŸ˜‚ #bikemonth #yegbike

Second Sunday of June, high noon: It's the 2025 version of the annual Ride.... What will you be wearing this year, Edmonton? πŸŽ‰πŸš²πŸ’πŸš²πŸ‘’πŸš²πŸ‘ πŸš²πŸ‘―πŸš΄πŸΌπŸͺ»πŸš΄πŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸ’ƒπŸΌ (PS: thank you for the beautiful new poster, @jkparker.bsky.socialπŸ™πŸΌ)

Super cool to see different types of mobility needs being met through bike share programs. Well done, Montreal! πŸ‘

Starting bike month off with a very windy ride. 🚲😁 #yegbike #yeg

5/8 garden beds completed, hoping to finish the others tomorrow. 🀞 Also hoping aphids visit a different backyard this year. #urbangarden #gardening

Still not really ready for the dramatic highs and lows in one Oilers game. 🫣

Transit oriented/adjacent development with a focus on high priority growth areas in the city- yes, please. This aligns really well with the Canada Public Transit Fund requirements for federal transit funding opportunities. βœ…πŸŽ‰

The best kinda day when all the fresh air from a longer bike ride makes me feel tired once I'm settled back indoors. πŸ™Œ

C'mon #Jets, get it done. Would love to see an Oilers-Jets conference match up!

This is the zoning map for the second biggest city in the world's largest economy. All the yellow you see only permits single-family homes. Stop saying our cities are "full".

Watching the Oilers game, in Oilers gear, on a patio while in Vancouver with 10 of my transit colleagues from across Canada is a whole lotta fun. 10/10 πŸ’πŸ

Going to read my book & hope it helps me forget that Oilers game.

Exploring North Van & Deep Cove, by bus, on a rainy morning. Coffee, books, art, doughnuts, beautiful parks- lots of my favourite things. Happy that I have my rain jacket this time.

Cycling around Stanley Park followed by oysters and a hockey game is an almost perfect day.

It's the time of year when we update/prepare evacuation kits in our house, to be better prepared for an emergency situation. Tips for preparing are here: www.alberta.ca/prepare-to-e...
