this job is really hard actually

Hey y'all do me a huge favor and share Hypnospace's 76% off (!!!) winter sale with your friends, families, and colleagues - the sequel Dreamsettler is quite literally funded directly from sales of Hypnospace, so every dollar spent on HSO goes toward development of DS! Thx <3

I didn't stop doing my daily reviews, I just thought it wouldn't do them justice to advertise them constantly through literal review summary skeets. So going forward, I decided to simply use this account for whatever other shit comes to my mind.

Day 76: Dreader A small love letter to the mouse maze horror genre, while also trying to bring in some innovation to it at the same time. www.backloggd.com/u/TrayKeyDan...

Day 75: Minit You have a singular minute before you die. How will you use it to progress? A very unique mechanic with knowledge as a base, since as you traverse, you just keep on learning new ways to keep going, or even where to go next. www.backloggd.com/u/TrayKeyDan...

Day 74: Drowning in Problems This is what I would call a waiting sim. There was an attempt to make a game, but that most certainly failed, with there being still possible metaphors, yet they are all just pretty underdeveloped, as well as the teenager like writing. www.backloggd.com/u/TrayKeyDan...

Day 70 (I forgor): Rusty Lake Roots One of my most favorite Rusty Lake games, and a great entry point into their games. Going through the interwoven lives of the Vanderboom family and seeing them becoming weirder over time is something different, but great still. www.backloggd.com/u/TrayKeyDan...

Day 73: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated I am locked in a hate love relationsship with this game. A lot of polish is missing and some areas straightup need a rework, yet I had a lot of fun playing through it, even though I had to push myself a bit at times. www.backloggd.com/u/TrayKeyDan...

Day 72: Candy Crush Saga One of the game sthat ruined the entire mobile game market in the long run. A lot of little effort things happening, with the main focus on using gameplay and artstyle for predatory means. www.backloggd.com/u/TrayKeyDan...

Day 71: Zuma Deluxe The actual frog ball shooter game. Me likey, 3,5/5 backloggd.com/u/TrayKeyDan...

Day 69: Sex 2 We finally have received a sequel and then it's simply the gameplay of Sex.... www.backloggd.com/u/TrayKeyDan...

I won this chain chomp plush in a crane game during my trip to Japan last year, but I didn’t have the AAA batteries it needed until I bought a pack recently. It’s better than I could have imagined. Look at it go!

Having found one of the most obscure games from my youth just thanks to a joke review of another joke game called "MineCraft" makes me feel like I achieved greatness. Have fun simply finding a game called "2". The game in question: hubol.itch.io/2

Day 68: Pong The Game to my Ping www.backloggd.com/u/TrayKeyDan...

COLOUR WHEEL IS COMPLETE

Day 67: Kirby's Dreamland The release of this title marked the day an apocaliptic force of nature has been brought onto the world of video games. While the game being short in length, the destructive force of la creatura can still be witnessed well enough. backloggd.com/u/TrayKeyDan...

Day 66: Void Stranger One of the most frustrating, yet best puzzle games I have ever played. If you don't like Sukoban, then don't bother, but for everyone else, pick up this game together with a pen and notebook, and get ready to embrace not a game, but a world. www.backloggd.com/u/TrayKeyDan...

bsky.app/profile/did:... oh nice a blocklist for these accounts!

Day 65: Disharmony What would happen, if you pair rhythm games with turn based RPGs and weird dream like concepts? Well, Disharmony would be an example. While rough around the edges, especially the battle system, the artistic expression throughout keeps you going. www.backloggd.com/u/TrayKeyDan...

It's weird to me that as a medium, games often have this emotional expectation other narrative experiences don't. Movies and TV shows and books don't have to be entertaining or fun to be valid, but a lot of folks will insist that games do and that if they fail to be so, they must not be games.

Day 64: Cookie Clicker I click the cookie to get things that produce more cookies than clicking. Cookie number go up, brain go happy. www.backloggd.com/u/TrayKeyDan...

Void Stranger makes me go insane, every single time I think "phew what a great game, I think I am done", it instead throws even MORE game at me. There is ALWAYS something new to find in this game.

Day 63: Bejeweled While making the match-3 genre quite big, the game itself is quite bare bones. It's just the main premise simply being "Rack up as many points as possible until you get a Game Over" and nothing else to show. A simple high score game. www.backloggd.com/u/TrayKeyDan...

The dev team "System Erasure" just makes me go completely insane. I am losing my marbles simply playing their games in the best way possible.

I love indie games

Day 62: Five Nights at Freddy's This game needs no introduction, nor any explanation. It is one of the games that paved the way for modern indie horror games to thrive. The game's horror may fade at some point, but it still stands as a challenging game from then on www.backloggd.com/u/TrayKeyDan...

I just did some script kiddy action. I removed the timeouts from a .bat file that loops and has no way of actually ending. Let's say, my Notebook didn't like that lmao

Day 61: TIS-100 If you wanted to get into assembly and have some knowledge about computers and programming, then this might be for you. It is gamification of the learning process with a steep learning curve. And don't expect the game to tell you anything. www.backloggd.com/u/TrayKeyDan...

Choosing GLSL as a language for a seminar about programming languages may not be the wisest decision I have made, but oh well. Future me will handle it somehow when the time comes.

Day 60: The Sims 2 (DS) How does this game even exist, and how is it able to be called a Sims game? You having to manage a hotel, there being a story with character quests, a lot of easter eggs and a very heavy atmosphere not unlike twin peaks. It's great honestly www.backloggd.com/u/TrayKeyDan...

Just finished ZeroRanger, and damn is it one of the best Shmups I have ever played. Granted I am not that good at them, but this one taught me a lot.

Day 59: Rusty Lake Hotel The first premium Rusty Lake game, and it shows its age. While still being a really fun escape room type of game, I would rather recommend going into the frienchise with one of the later entries, and to come back to this one later. www.backloggd.com/u/TrayKeyDan...

Been playing nothing but ZerOranger this evening. I have not a single clue how System Erasure is able to put out two absolute bangers with this game and Void Stranger. To use a very well established concept and using that to turn the game on its head at some point is an artform in itself.

When you were humming a tune for years and only now realize it's from Ghost Trick, a game you have played ages ago.

Day 58: Touhou Reiiden: The Highly Responsive to Prayers The humble beginnings of what later becomes a pillar for fan works. Plays more like Brick Breaker than bullet hell games. Skippable in general, but can be inspirational to see how far it went from here. www.backloggd.com/u/TrayKeyDan...
