I usually try my best, especially as a writer/journalist, to give coaches a bit of grace and leeway with player decisions. They are the ones in training every minute of every day while media gets one day a week, if that. They obviously know their team, and more importantly their system, better….

Oracle is a beautiful field, a great stadium, FOR BASEBALL. Wrigley is a wonderful, magical place to play…. BASEBALL GAMES. Happy for those that truly are excited, but I’ll say it, soccer in baseball stadiums needs to stop. Fully. We were so close to being free from this.

The big issue, and one I hope Arsenal WFC fix this summer, is they don’t have a Melchie. They don’t have a Lauren James. They don’t have their Saka. They need a player they can chuck the ball too in matches like this and say “find us something special” so many missed chances, poor keeping, hurts.
