Wow. I’m so proud of Harvard University give this whipped article a read. It’s inspiring to say the least. open.substack.com/pub/contrari...

I'm thinking about how tonight was probably the first time Kilmar Abrego Garcia learned that millions of people care about him - the first time he learned that the United States Supreme Court ruled 9-0 to bring him home. I'm thinking what it must mean for him to know, right now, that he isn't alone.

David Brooks is ready to take it to the streets and Senator Van Hollen has demonstrated admirable resolve and compassion for a constituent in danger, let's make this the flapping of butterfly wings that causes a tornado

As David Brooks has said, we’re approaching civil disobedience and national strikes phase of defending our nation.

What ‘should be’ done?! 👇 Whatcha thinkin’?! 🤔

i need some space… and maybe you do too

Bukele is making a play with the assistance of the US to turn the outsourcing of human rights violations into a source of foreign exchange for El Salvador, a new export category in much the same way educating the world has long been a top US export. Until now.

Rights of due process don't depend on our personal opinions of the accused. For example, I regard the January 6, 2021, criminals as insurrectionists and traitors - yet I am still glad that each and every one of them got a proper trial before they were convicted and sentenced.

There are so many ambitious Democratic lawmakers who apparently don't understand how fast their star would rise with tangible, direct actions. Before this week, Sen. Van Hollen was largely known only to Maryland voters and professional political circles. Now, the country knows his name. That fast.

The good news is that the constitution provides ways for Congress and the Judiciary to reign in a power-hungry president. The bad news is those people are all scared of him.

Dear senators who think you can’t do anything, Today, Senator Van Hollen - through diplomatic pressure - got a meeting with Abrego Garcia in El Salvador. So that thing you’re thinking about doing? DO IT. ~ All of Us

I don't understand how some folks are unable to see that the illegal disappearing of people is a class issue. The wealthy and well-connected get due process. The rest of us don't. This is part of the oligarchy, not a distraction from it.

A captivating glimpse into the inquisitive nature of this barn owl. Its tilted head, a study in subtle elegance, hints at a world of secrets.🦉 ©️ tanja_brandt #Nature #Bird #Owl

INCREDIBLE opinion by Wilkinson refusing to stay Judge Xinis's orders in the Abrego Garcia case, condemning DOJ's arguments as "shocking not only to judges, but to the intuitive sense of liberty that Americans far removed from courthouses still hold dear." storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

The head of our country’s government is in the early stages of consolidating total power. We must of course reject this, but that is not enough. We have to respond by creating a different and better kind of American politics than we have seen before.

My office secured the convictions of 31 members of two major drug trafficking rings for flooding communities in Central New York and the North Country with heroin, fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine.   We'll keep working to combat the opioid crisis and protect New Yorkers.

Vancouver. One of my favorite cities in the world. I have always loved Canada. The damage from this toxic administration will be generational.

The White House basically gave Boasberg no choice. And unless they start cooperating very quickly, possibly even if they do, they’re looking at criminal contempt like a freight train. That’s going to raise some tricky issues of penalty, but the underlying finding should be secure. What total jerks.

Federal agencies now only exist to litigate the president's personal grievances

Eighteen years ago, tragedy struck Virginia Tech when a gunman stole the lives of 32 innocent souls and wounded 17 more. Today, our hearts remain heavy as we honor the memory of the victims, the courage of the survivors and the strength of the Hokie community.

Last session, for the first time in our history, the General Assembly put a spending cap on emergency response. There should never be a cap on helping Kentuckians in need. youtube.com/shorts/EkHFb...

They want workers afraid to strike, teachers afraid to teach history, and voters too exhausted to fight back. But here’s the truth: They’re afraid of us. Of our solidarity. Of our voices. Of our power. And they should be.

Trump has taken the most powerful country in the world, with the greatest alliances, and the strongest economy, and flushed it down the toilet based on his understanding of politics in 1984 and trade deficits. The greatest self shot to the nut sack in history
