It really feels like Bay FC is thisclose to competing with top NWSL teams. If only they can score consistently, something they’ve yet to do | @sfchronicle.com www.sfchronicle.com/sports/artic...

I served in Afghanistan and we owe every last one of these people a debt. This worthless human being would condemn people who gave up everything to support us. Words cannot describe the rage I feel at this callous cruelty. Everyone involved in this administration is despicably evil.

🧵 We got a pretty nasty load of bad news yesterday on the future of Social Security. It's not hyperbole to say we've passed the point of no return on Trump/DOGE's efforts to kill the agency...

Who started cutting onions in here? 🥹

Literally just go read Utopia for Realists by Rutger Bregman. He spends a whole third of the book citing studies that have ALL come to the same conclusion.

Hey, @schumer.senate.gov :: you better not be playing cute with your language about stopping the SAVE Act. I hope you intend to VOTE NO ON CLOTURE, as opposed to what you did with the CR when you told us you'd vote no on the bill, but still voted YES on cloture. We are in no mood for games.

This week, there were 7 confirmation votes in the Senate. And after millions and millions of people showed up over the weekend at #HandsOff events around the world, 18 Democrats joined with Republicans to confirm 5 of those nominees. Someone explain it to me like I'm 5.

📌I see House Democrats are targeting just 35 Republican districts in 2026, which is the absolute definition of thinking incredibly small. 📌Billionaires are stealing our money, gutting medicaid, social security and vets' benefits. People's 401ks are in tatters. 📌RUN HARD EVERYWHERE, DAMMIT.

BREAKING: The House of Representatives just passed the SAVE Act, a bill that would make it much harder for millions of people to register to vote. We're calling on the Senate to reject this legislation.

Republicans in the House just passed the SAVE Act. It tells Troops overseas, disabled Veterans, and Military Families: We don’t want you to vote. That’s not “election security.”
That’s voter suppression.

The American Public Health Association has called for RFK Jr. to resign or be fired, citing his "complete disregard" for science.

Full #USWNT discourse alert! The guys tackled a bunch of different questions to come out of the split results against Brazil. Who should be the starting goalkeeper? How should Jaedyn Shaw be used? Is Emily Sams being phased out? And so much more! Listen, follow, rate & review!

Companies tied to Elon Musk have dozens of workplace health and safety cases open at OSHA. Unions leaders and former OSHA officials are concerned.

🚨NEWS: the House just narrowly passed Republicans' SAVE Act. GOP House members think they can get away with disenfranchising millions of eligible voters across the country. I am leading the fight in the Senate to block it.

This is our governor. Sir, we are not paid. We are fighting for our fellow Nevadans, all of them. We’re doing what you refuse to do. You’ll be seeing a lot more of us, and a lot more often. 🇺🇸

There’s a lot to love in this morning’s news nearly a week out from Star Wars Celebration. I’m so excited for the new Vader book by @adamchristopher.me and the massive Doug Chiang archive, but that Art of The Acolyte cover has my heart. This is the Commander-in-Chief? Trump accidentally calls the wrong McMaster, then yells at him—and we’re supposed to trust him with our national security and the lives of our Troops? This isn’t leadership. It’s a liability. MORE: www.cbsnews.com/news/h-r-mcm...

Insurers’ denial rates are a critical measure of how reliably they pay for customers’ care. But they remain mostly secret to the public. Federal and state regulators have done little to change that. (Published 2023 w/ @capitolforum.bsky.social)

Did a double take cause at first swore this was @theonion.com . If I were them I'd sue this administration over encroaching on their intellectual property.

This is the same asshole who strong armed the NV legislature to give hundreds of millions of dollars to John Fisher for his A's relocation to Vegas so that he would remove his veto for increased funding for teachers.

This is literally how the Holocaust started, and honestly I'm tired of saying so

Republicans think slashing and tearing things apart is the solution to everything—especially immigration. But mass deportation isn’t a plan. It’s dangerous—and it leads to innocent U.S. citizens being deported. Just another example of them having no real plan—only concepts of one.

Democrats, you can’t win by leaving your values behind… We need more fire. More passion. More fighters. We don’t need bootlickers.

"Democratic leaders like my former boss are increasingly alienating young voters and progressives alike due to ideological rigidity, inadequate policy responses, and a failure to address the evolving socio-political landscape."

The message from the Left should be: tariffs bad, industrial policy good. Sure, there are niche cases where tariffs might be useful as part of industrial policy, but it really weakens the message to add qualifiers. Fight unreservedly against the thing destroying the economy.

NEW: Elon Musk's DOGE is being audited by the Government Accountability Office. The probe is examining DOGE’s handling of data at a number of federal agencies, among other things. www.wired.com/story/gao-au...

Good morning. Today is the 80th day that the U.S. President is running a backdoor bribery scheme in which any CEO or foreign oligarch can send him money secretly through his crypto coin scam in exchange for favors. It's the biggest scandal in the history of the Presidency.

This sums it up quite nicely. Especially liked the part about feeling bad about feeling joy. Anyways, read it if you have the time.

one thing I think we shouldn't lose sight of: these people are stupid, their ideas are bad, they are always wrong about everything. there is no mea culpa big enough to erase the fact that they have a child's understanding of the world and their vision for the future is not worth taking seriously

As a 20 year communications professional I’d like to offer Democrats my most sophisticated advice: While Trump is punching himself in the nuts, you could choose to 1. Also punch him in the nuts; or 2. Punch yourself in the nuts. I strongly advise number 1.

Only three more days until my first trip to Tokyo ever. Gonna spend the week exploring before Star Wars Celebration in 9 days! I've wanted to see Japan since I was a teen (some 30 years ago) so this is a real bucket list item for me. To my fellow SW fans, I'll see you at the convention! MTFBWY

The President has chosen to intentionally crash the U.S. economy and financial system by doing things which have been ridiculed in every intro macroeconomics class for the past 80+ years. Those with the power to stop him refuse to do so because they hate minorities.

90 percent. They sent innocent people to a gulag so Trump could look like a tough guy. www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

DOGE Oversight Subcommittee held a hearing on reducing federal property. All they said was “fire sale” this, “fire sale” that. Meanwhile, they’re lighting all of this s**t on fire — while their incompetent leader wastes millions of taxpayer dollars golfing, all while steering us towards a recession.

Back in 2018, Trump wanted to throw a massive Military parade in DC. He ended up walking it back. @votevets.org was a big reason for that by giving him and his administration hell for it. They got enough people speaking out, and they got him to cancel. BUT, the parade is back.

“President Trump doesn’t care about women or sexual violence survivors,” Martone wrote. “He simply uses his faux defense of women to justify oppressing minorities, particularly immigrants and trans people.”

Crossing into the United States has become increasingly dangerous for digital privacy, not only for non-citizens but for Americans as well. Here are a few steps you can take to minimize the risk of Customs and Border Protection accessing your data:

Let’s be clear: Trump’s plan to fine migrants $998 a DAY and steal their property is NOT about border security. It’s about pushing fear-based rhetoric—and it’s giving fascism.

So Senator Collins. Can you explain why you voted these two in? I know you don’t do town halls, but I also know lots of other Mainers would like to know.

Do not normalize children dying from measles. Measles was previously eliminated in the US, thanks to vaccines. When children die from measles, it means that adults have catastrophically failed to protect them because they have rejected basic science.

BREAKING NEWS: Senator Brian Schatz is BLOCKING over 300 Trump admin nominations by refusing to let them pass with unanimous consent. "I don't think we should make anything easy going forward,” he said. BLOCK THEM EVERY STEP OF THE WAY! MORE OF THIS!

Oh baby you, you got what I neeeeed but you say he's just a friend

The resistance cannot be silenced. Andor returns for its final season. Don’t miss the three-episode premiere streaming April 22, only on Disney+.
