Masks and handwashing work very well against the current form of flu, in the first year of Covid, when more people were masking, we knocked out an entire strain of flu. So there’s yet another reason to start wearing them.

I lived through the AIDS crisis of the late 80s and through the 90s when treatment became available. So I don't wish HIV on anyone. But I'd certainly enjoy someone pranking these ghouls and telling them they've been exposed and letting them sweat about it for months and years. I'm not above that.

New — HHS just got another email with guidance stating that they aren’t required to respond to the 5 bullets email, but if they do they should follow specific guidelines including: “Assume that what you write will be read by malign foreign actors and tailor your response accordingly.”

Why do they need to fight dementia? They've elected two presidents with it to rule over half my fucking life time so far and they seem to be winning. Meanwhile, their political opponents named a non-septugenarian house leader who is somehow worse at messaging than the geriatrics we had before.

The thing that burns my ovaries, besides the unconscionable assault on trans people, is that with Trump/Musk openly defying court orders to stop what they're doing, I can't fully celebrate victories like this. I hope doctors find their guts to continue therapy knowing they're legally covered.
