I swear every big kid moment in my life coincides with my big author moments, too. They’ve always been strangely in sync

The Labubu dolls have such a scary little grin to me

I have a deadline this week and I am all prepared for it but I always get nerves, like I’m turning in a final exam or something

This book triggered the hell out of me but it was so good had to read every last word. Heartbreaking and groovy. Miss Parcae was terrifying but not quite as terrifying as that Reverend

I think this is a coyote skull?? Spotted on my walk today. It was big, never seen anything like it. Lots of coyotes here and maybe a few mountain lions…

Me, upstairs, screen door open, working on the book I turn in next week. Downstairs: my daughter and mom watching The Nightmare Before Christmas. The soundtrack drifts up to my room and I believe this is the best ambiance for writing

Can’t believe I have to wait two entire days for a new episode of Severance

I watch The Nightmare Before Christmas once a day with my kid per her request and maybe she’s going to grow up to be spooky, too?

My latest short story is now free to read at @nightmare-magazine.com!! “In Our Skin” is an SF horror genre blend about two sisters who share a body, mama trauma, and family secrets. It might be my favorite short story I’ve written! 👀🖤 www.nightmare-magazine.com/fiction/in-o...

What’s a movie that is wildly considered bad but you love it proudly? Addams Family Reunion (1998). I was obsessed, though haven’t watched it in many years.

Portrait of a writer at her desk wearing real clothes, for once

Feel like I just keep writing the same love story over and over… but maybe that’s not a bad thing. Like if it went this way or that way as all of the bad things are happening

Here for Milchick’s unhinged era. The tension just ricocheted way up in tonight’s episode, I feel. Also eagerly awaiting the moment when Mark is going to snap. Getting this series trickled out one episode a week almost feels like torture, it’s so good. #severance

CHALLENGERS makes for a great Valentine’s viewing

Happy hearts day! I got married on the beach on Valentine’s Day four years ago 🖤🌺🖤

The perfect Valentine’s gift (for me, at least!)

The paperback edition of The One That Got Away with Murder is now available for preorder! If you order from Vroman’s Bookstore, you can get a signed & personalized copy: vromansbookstore.com/book/9781250...

My two-year-old woke up this morning singing “This Is Halloween.” I truly wish it was!

Hey, The One That Got Away with Murder is hanging out just under the top 7,000 books at B&N 10 months after pub so that feels cool!

I have a lilikoi citrus candle burning on my desk right now and I’m certain that it is the best thing I’ve ever smelled.

There’s a meet-cute in my next book but it’s a thriller so it’s him picking her up on the side of the road and she’s covered in 🩸

It’s Friday which means there’s a new episode of Severance!

I saw an article headline about how Bill Gates coded on a hike as a teenager and I interpreted it to mean he full on coded in the medical sense and then… yeah, quickly realized my mistake. There is some coding (medical kind) going on in the story I’m writing so that is where my brain is, I suppose.

I took a bath and I know my third book like the back of my hand (I’m on deadline for book 2 now, ha!)

Watching SEVERANCE season 2 and I strongly believe episode 2 should have been the first episode IMHO. It was excellent. (First episode didn’t give enough context? Hardly moved the story?)

The White House website is straight up dystopian

I believe this is the final day to grab hardcovers for half off at B&N, including mine! www.barnesandnoble.com/w/the-one-th...

I relaxed a little bit at the beginning of the longest month of the year! Now my deadline calls

I was tagged in an ‘auto-buy’ authors post today which was a first for me!

I’m commissioning some art to celebrate the release of my book in paperback and omg I can’t wait to share it. Will be a couple of months though. I will have to be patient.

Noted 🩸

Loved this book

I’ve switched to making pour over coffee and it’s… better? Worth it? I think so.

Hey so my Christmas tree is still up. Haven’t been home in a month so came back and it’s like a time warp

It’s raining!!! We need it. Hopefully doesn’t do too much damage—landslides :(
