I don't think I've ever had an illness that set off my overstimulation this badly before. I want to crawl out of my own skin to escape this flesh prison and its torments.

Little Witch on the Prairie outfit for my LARP's Cowboys and Witches reign.

After losing all my xBox achievements by leaving a toxic relationship (it was Ex's system and they deleted my profile and related accounts), I am happy to report that I now have a gaming PC and have re-earned all my Dragon Age: Origins achievements.

Me: *explaining the idiom "take the high road* My 8yo: The high road is closed for construction; I'm taking the low road!

A little boy in my kid's class told me that she's a good friend, and "the best thing about her is she's kind and caring!" I'll just be over here celebrating with that boy's parents as both of us accept our medals for winning at parenting! 🥰

My 8yo asked what "bad words" are because everyone says not to use them but won't disclose what words they are so they can be avoided. So I listed swear words and their meanings, as well as common alternatives used in place of swearing. Kiddo nodded and said "I don't think I'll say any of those."

My LARP is doing a Cowboys and Witches themed reign, so I whipped up an outfit and hat for it!

My biggest task has become finding Autism-friendly clothing for my kid, since Target, Walmart, and Amazon are all out. Kid NEEDS to try them on, so either storefronts in the greater KC area or forgiving online return policies. I currently have no leads, so if anyone has ideas, please share!

A bonnet decoration for my LARP's Cowboys and Witches themed reign! Ethically sourced bone, gifted feathers and metal accents, thrift store ribbon and stone cabochon, boughten glass beads and silver wire.

Took Spouse to the library yesterday and found that they purge old accounts that have been dormant too long. We got him set up with a new card, and now I have to check the second library in my area to see if my card there is still good, as I've been neglecting that one lately.

Canvas squire's belt, designed to lace atop front-lacing corsets. I added an embroidered butterfly applique that's been sitting in my stash, as the recipient loves Morphinae.

Trying to stay current on political events is breaking me. After a year of long COVID, I don't have the energy left to fight right now. I crave the softness of fabric, the reliability of beads, the known chaos of tangled yarn. Today I will make something and survive. Today that's all I can do.

First made-from-scratch hat! Wool outer, cotton inner, glass beads embellishments on brim underside. Reversible hatband and pouch made from repurposed tablecloths and thrift store buttons.
