I've gone politically active on Facebook again after a long spell of keeping to personal stuff on there. It's going ... about like you'd expect.

It looks like I finally discovered how to kick the hornet's nest on Bluesky. Allow me to say a word about why I'm still on Twitter/X: I'm still not sure whether Elon loses bigger by being denied users, or by being denied unchallenged influence with the people who are left.

You guys, it's so bad on Twitter. So, so bad.

Great episode arguing for a missional approach to christian nationalists. The part about feeling "familial guilt" when encountering xian nationalism really resonated for me. Something to work on in my own heart. youtu.be/hdafr6kJUPo?...

If you’re not aware that the “sin of empathy” is making real end roads into popular evangelicalism you need to be aware open.substack.com/pub/jaymallo...

Micah took me to breakfast and the bookstore for an early Valentine's date. 🥰 (breakfast not pictured because I was super hungry)

This will now be my go-to verbiage for whenever anyone asks me how things are going, because SAME.

I think I must have some latent asceticism in my genes because I just can't quit Twitter even though it brings me nothing but pain and consternation.

I predict that homeschooling legal defense activists are about to change course so fast it will make your head spin. search.app/WQyNWYULcRVK...

Trump: *antagonizes his opponents for 15 minutes straight* Also Trump: I want to be a unifier and peacemaker.

I can hear Micah in the next room vigorously scrubbing the toilet bowl. We all grieve in different ways.

Today's vibes:

Hit me with your best literary agent recs. P.S. I know you don't always "need" one for non-fiction, but I want to at least explore the option.

Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but I feel in my bones that inevitably, I'm going to write a book about Quiverfullism.

I've gotten 3 DMs on here from random accounts this morning. My husband tells me this bodes well for bluesky: you know you're getting real traction when the bots show up.

Library visits are good for your mental health. Probably. They're good for mine, anyway.

The Ridley Scott Napoleon movie be like: "Napoleon, you've been Facebook friends with Josephine de Beauharnais for 30 years! Friendships like this deserve celebration! Want to look back at some memories?"

I *heard* this image. IYKYK.
