For a long time, Coralville had wild aspirations for what developed into the Iowa River Landing. Indoor rain forest (LOL) was the centerpiece. Leaders and developers eventually moved on and figured out something else. It's now a vibrant area for retail, dining, entertainment, health care, lodging.
