“I can’t join protests” or “I don’t know what to do” are common refrains. Yet, resistance thrives in the everyday: sharing uncensored news, supporting local businesses, rejecting injustice in conversation, aiding neighbors, preserving culture, documenting abuses. Small acts sustain defiance.

For most of my life I have been listening to the excuse, that the US had to be flooded with weapons, because if a dictator ever came to power, these weapons were the guarantee that the people could defend the US against the dictator. They did not. They voted for him.
