Very interesting comparison of audience sizes during Tata Steel 2025 and Freestyle. Interestingly, you can see the impact Indian market has on viewership. Personally, glad to see it, but whatever makes #chess bigger 🤗

Congratulations to Vincent Keymer for winning #FreestyleChess. I have to say that Chess24's commentary made the tournament extremely enjoyable, but production and organization still have a lot to learn. Now back to classical and more studies.

Judit Polgar, Peter Leko and Levon Aronian. This lineup needs to be obligatory on Chess24 channel after Levon retires. The strategic depth at which all of them operate is so beautifully explained. And the banter... "GG7" 😂

Watching now Botez vs Cramling and God, Twitch needs Levon Aronian. So much knowledge combined with so much rizz, as kids say, is simply brilliant.

I am still not a fan of Freestyle Chess. I guess, as a fresh intermediate player, #chess just unveiled some of the mysteries and stealing away the openings from me seems too radical. However, the format with Rapid RR + Classical Playoffs? Brilliant. We need more events like that.

Peter Leko and Judit Polgar… Class. Banter. Skill. 🤩 Great coverage on @chess24com.bsky.social stream of #FreestyleChess

Great to see interview with Hans Niemann in the weekend edition of the Financial Times. A lot of Korchnoi vibes. Now we just need to see some Gurus walking around his address, just like in Baguio, 1978. #chess

That was a good day. 🔥

Alrighty! Time to level up! #chesspunks - anyone had opportunity to work with this book? Any opinions?

After #TataSteelChess, it is really interesting to see how aggressive and exciting classical #chess can be with the new generation coming into the scene. Considering how scary it was to steer away from theory against Magnus - it is no surprise that draws were more frequent, often forced.

Also. Considering that Gukesh lost Wijk aan Zee twice in tiebreaks there’s no other option for him then become a real menace in blitz. He is still so young. You could see that, not necessarily inexperience, but poorly timed aggressiveness cost him the title. It’s scary to think what he’ll become.

God… just caught up with #TataSteelChess Praggnananda comes in and announces rivalry for years to come. Nodirbek, one handsome devil with the biggest flair just behind having target on both. And Gukesh… what a world champ to have. Exciting years in #chess ahead of us.

Ok, there were two days that I didn’t watch #TataSteelChess - round 7 as I was at the venue and now Round 9. If I am going to tune in tomorrow and not see GM Nieksans same as I didn’t see Danya on Sunday I’ll lose my freaking mind 😂 With all respect to the rest of commentary team! #chess
