If I am being honest, there is a racial element to the "TACO" thing that bothers me. Latino cuisine is incredibly rich and vibrant. It's not a joke, especially when the community is being targeted with raids.

My mother- whose second language is English- combines dummy and damnit. “DUMMIT!” I used to think it was silly, but now I see that it is an appropriate response to current events. I will be using it often, going forward.

Cucumber update: we ate one of the cucumbers that we grew in our garden and it was perfectly sweet and crunchy. It also had thorns (!!?), which we removed before eating, obviously. Super cool. 🥒💚😆
