4/02/1825: exactly 200 years ago, a storm surge triggered a major environmental transformation in Jutland, Denmark: Breaking through the small isthmus separating the Limfjord from the sea. Tweehonderd Jaar Watersnood 1825 (bis). In de herdenking van de watersnood van 3-5 Februari 1825 hoor je nog steeds het verhaal dat de dijken hopeloos verwaarloosd waren. Een "modernisering" van het dijkonderhoud drong zich op. En de overstroming zou daarvoor gezorgd hebben. Maar klopt dat wel?
