I love the party streamer one. I think it's all relative to when you grew up though. I remember encountering Bolton in 1997 and thinking it looked like a balloon...

Competitive at the top maybe, but we're looking at the 2nd successive season where the promoted clubs are going straight back down, with Leeds, Burnley and Sheff Utd looking to replace them. 3 clubs who got relegated last season/the one before.
Not good.

Thanks! Fantastic - I had no idea. Read The News/Sports Mail for years back before local journalism was obliterated.

A terrible decision to not have an emboldened outline for the lettering too. I like the old variations on this, but it is a bit Leicester.

Off the top of my head, Salford don't either, plus a club who made it into my top 6 👀

I'm not a Sutton fan and wasn't there. I used to be fairly local - went to the opening day 5-1 against Notts County last season.
But yes, I remember it being a fairly textbook Arsenal win. Piegate sadly shows how much effect media/betting can have on these occasions. Coventry 89 however...

Fair enough, I stand corrected! Unfortunately it's only the second greatest swan-based badge in British football...;)

Tell that to John Hope and Edinburghs Football Club (1824)!

Yep exactly. The plans for the proposed new "home of football" look good, and as you say, more local and accurate to history.

Yeah i understand that, but it still doesn't make sense to name their ground that when it wasn't where they played in the c19th.

Sure, I didn't check dates just thought of somewhere Sheffield FC played in the c19th!
