Totally meant to share the unedited clip of that. My bad, here ya go 🤣

Eurypharynx pelecanoides w/ parasitic copepod from @schmidtocean.bsky.social dive 623 #SEPacificSeamounts #MarineLife

Wtf is happening? This morning a dove landed on my head, a mouse almost climbed up my leg as if we've been buds for decades, & for the past 3 days lizards, spiders, & various flying insects that usually avoid me have landed on me. Someone take me to the sharks, I need to try out my new power!

I don't protest b/c I think I can change my country. I protest so that my country doesn't change me.

At least she listens (most of the time). Donnie is currently searching for snacks & doing other tortoise things after a hose bath. We've had so much rain lately that I woke to find a ball of mud with eyes

Look as good a place as any for a nap. @echinoblog.bsky.social is that urchin Asthenosoma? @schmidtocean.bsky.social dive 417 #TwilightCoral #MarineLife

😏

Went to the beach this morning to honor a loved one. Rip currents were plentiful so I didn't go out long enough to find crabs w/ my feet. The sediment is heavy here, making visibility bleh, so you have to use your body parts to feel for them (then put it right back where you found it).

Yay, I finally found this account here! They had a video of a weird worm ball some years back on Twitter that I'll never forget! An absolutely fantastic page to follow! #MarineLife

Among a dreamlike seascape of copepods and jellies, a rare heteropod (sea elephant)! Despite looking like the ghost a of a vengeful banana, with beady eyes and a long proboscis, they are a type of pelagic snail. Fin on its belly is its 'foot'.

Indigestion for days, I guarantee it. (Cusk eel enjoying a taste of its brother, Stan) @schmidtocean.bsky.social dive 568 #GalapagosVents #MarineLife

I made a friend! I'm guessing robber fly, but when it landed I was a bit taken aback & trying not to terrify it. It stayed there for about 5 minutes, I guess mistaking me for a tree, but we had a good chat.

Fantastic turnout at the #NoKings protests! My red town south of Houston had over 1000, which surprised & pleased me greatly! I hit a snafu & couldn't physically walk from the parking spot I found 2 miles away, so I gave my sign to someone 2 hold for me. Way to go!!! 🫶

Texas here, I'll see ya there! www.nokings.org

Imagine spending your whole life cos-playing and fantasizing about fighting the federal government sending troops in against its citizens, only to root for the government when it finally arrives

A lot of really fantastic fish images @mbarinews.bsky.social put in this video! It's on their IG & tiktok pages . #MarineLife

Aha, THIS is the video I meant to comment on, not the sea snake one. I think this is a Hairtail Blenny, Xiphasia setifer, or something similar?

Ignore that (while I point it out to you again), wrong video. Let me find the right one 🤣
