My beautiful and brilliant daughter in law is Romanian and although she and my son live elsewhere in Europe, she is so worried for family and friends. She told me that Georgescu would undo all the progress since the ouster of Ceaușescu.

“..in many jobs…” Could you provide some examples of these jobs where uneducated, LLM users would out perform?

LLMs are fine to most degrees for quantitative analysis and instruction but absolutely horrid for qualitative exploration and abstraction, which is where the human brain remains superior.

My husband is a wreck. Tonight he sounded so defeated. He said “I feel so unimportant.” 😔 He is still employed - for now.

My husband is a fed employee and I work in tech. We’re being extra frugal and planning for an inevitable lay off - either him or me or both of us.

People need to think for a minute on how a person becomes uber-rich. (Hint: It’s not via altruism.)

The number one issue on my mind is the fascist takeover of America, Chuck.

Oh please please i am begging, don't use generative AI for any reason if you can avoid it.
It's being marketed as a quick time-saver, but it's messy, inaccurate, it is putting entire industries of people out of work, and the environmental impacts (energy and water usage) are huge and debilitating.

I’m a UX Designer. I am being pressured at work to always be finding ways to incorporate Gen AI into my workflow, but I yet to find a good use. All Gen AI replaces the true value I provide with garbage - garbage I have fix. I feel like all I’m doing is training the AI instead of doing my real job.

Can’t wait for the next round of mass tech layoffs and companies are too afraid to layoff white men.
