The customer experience part of the $3.5M contract was mine. I’m sure DOGE only read the sentence they quoted and didn’t bother to find out about the efficiencies and cost savings created from our effort. Such smug d-bags.

DOGE just terminated my consulting project where we made processes more efficient and reduced costs. No one will ever be able to tell me their effort is about increasing efficiency. Their goal is to blow the whole thing up to permanently govern under MAGA rules and only MAGA rules.

Either Trump truly thinks transgender and transgenic are the same, or he is intentionally revving up the outrage machine for the base. None of this is about governing.

What is the end game here? Is all of this so Trump can build his precious Trump Moscow hotel? Putin clearly has conditions and we are seeing them being played out. Trash NATO countries, scold Zelenskyy, and hey, let’s share Greenland.

Chris Rock once described Hollywood as being “sorority racist”. He said it’s subtle, like a black girl going through sorority recruiting. “We like you, we just don’t think you’re Kappa material.” And that, in a nutshell, is why DEI is important. It’s about all of us understanding our biases.

vanhollen.senate.gov out here speaking my language of common sense and kindness, and lack thereof.

So, the Bishop preaching about treating people with kindness is the problem, but questioning Native American’s citizenship is the Lord’s work? Please.

Elon didn’t just casually do the Sieg Heil twice. He really put his back into it.

Trump and his MAGA political minions are only interested in scaring Americans into believing their terrible lot in life is because of what “others” are doing to them. Unfortunately, many Americans also believe that means the GOP will help them, even though they will never have a plan to help them.

Hungary is Trump’s blueprint. Orbán is his inspiration. Trump won’t overthrow democracy by military force, but through control of media and the courts (already happening) and going after civil servants and his enemies (which he has promised to do). We are the frog in boiling water.

Mike Johnson talks about “mistakes” and “dereliction of duty” related to the LA fires, and making aid conditional. His carefully calculated response is viewed by MAGA as confident intelligence. But really it’s just disingenuous, cruel, and miles away from the Christ he likes to say he follows.

Democratic politicians are not great at taking credit for positive outcomes they are responsible for. Republican politicians are great at taking credit for positive outcomes they had nothing to do with.

Jessica Tarlov goes into the lion’s den and does the Lord’s work. Whatever she’s paid, it’s not nearly enough.

Senator Brian Schatz (D-Hawaii) uses common sense. “If you’re talking about the question of are people pissed about the price of eggs, the answer is flatly yes they are. Not, ‘Don’t you know people are paying more in Paris and shouldn’t you be happy about that.” www.politico.com/news/magazin...

In 2015, Steve Bannon knew he had to keep the issues very simple for Trump to understand. “Build a wall to keep illegals out”. When you’re dealing with someone with a 200-word vocabulary, these are the tactics you use. But what does that say about our electorate?

With Russians financing Trump’s debt and his continued desire to build a tower in Moscow, Putin has had Trump right where he wants him for quite some time. Putin: “Destabilize NATO”. Trump: “Yes, sir.” Putin: “Tell everyone your intelligence agencies are corrupt.” Trump: “Yes, sir.”

Trump likes to think he’s a great negotiator. He’s not. He only goes into a negotiation if he already has a position of power. Fake smart guy. Fake tough guy.

For countries like Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands, and many others, caring for people is built into the fabric of those societies. Not so for the US. We are built on a look-out-for-yourself mentality. Things like masking up in a pandemic or making sure kids are fed are tragically controversial.

www.instagram.com/reel/C-sdy-9... Fox doesn’t care that they’re lying to their audience on a daily basis. It’s about money, not the truth. It’s about scaring people. It’s never, ever about how great Republicans are because they have no good ideas for making our country better.

This is exactly right! The old ways don’t work anymore. And we need to hammer on correcting GOP lies that have been told so often that too many take them as fact (e.g., vaccines are bad for you, tariffs will help us, illegal immigrants commit a high rate of crime, the 2020 election was stolen).

This is a great starter pack from @yodamonkey2.bsky.social! Check it out. go.bsky.app/URz6wd1

Biden should preemptively pardon the January 6 committee and say, “I am pardoning them not because they are guilty, they clearly are not. I simply do not trust Trump, Kash Patel, and the Republican activist judges who might be involved in this ridiculousness to do the legal and right thing.”

Where were all of these people on November 5?

Republicans want the government out of our lives but want to tell a woman what to do with her body. They want to ban books, and require prayer in schools. All driven by fundamentalist Christians. The hypocrisy and pseudo-Christianity is maddening, and as usual, makes no sense.

George Carlin once said, “People on the left care about human beings and human values. People on the right are soulless. They don’t care about people.” True. People on the right are not interested in having gov’t provide a safety net for those in need for fear we’ll slide into socialism. Misguided.

Studies have shown that engaging in, witnessing, or even just thinking about acts of kindness, creates biochemical changes in our brain. It reduces blood pressure and inflammation, and releases endorphins. We should get Republican politicians to watch kind acts on a loop.

Shouldn’t US politicians be trying to improve the lives of Americans? Like when Biden got the infrastructure bill passed, lowered Rx cost on Medicare, and made improvements to the Buy American Act. Republicans don’t care about improving people’s lives. Yet people actually think they will. Crazy.

After the mass killings in Lewiston, Maine, Mike Johnson said, “Guns aren’t the problem. The problem is the human heart.” He’s half right. But he seems to think his heart is full of kindness. But it, most assuredly, is not. It’s “hearts” like his that are OK with people being gunned down.

Can you name just 3 pieces of legislation passed or pushed by Republicans over the last 8 years that can be considered kind, or helpful, to anyone other than billionaires?

Texas State Rep @jamestalarico.bsky.social articulates the hypocrisy of the Republican Party and Christian Nationalism better than almost any politician I’ve seen. Keep an eye on the Dems in red states who constantly look for ways to listen and speak to voters who aren’t already in the fold.

In its most recent audit, the US Dept of Defense can’t account for HALF of its $3.8 trillion in assets. But DOGE wants to cut costs by eliminating entire agencies and cutting income security programs? Please. The Pentagon has that amount lost between the couch cushions. Again, no common sense.

The GOP uses simple messaging (however misguided) that people understand. Immigrants - bad and dangerous. Wall - good. Well, Democrats can keep it simple too by asking people to apply common sense and kindness to anything a politician says. Revoke polio vaccine approval? No common sense. (1/2)
