For the rest of my life, I will never understand how a country full of people busting their asses, working paycheck to paycheck, allow the fucking richest guy on Earth to call them "parasites" while calling the Social Security we contributed to our entire lives "a Ponzi scheme." Un-fucking-real.

I keep thinking about those congresspeople kneeling in the rotunda wearing kente cloth scarves, very performative. There has been no loud, visible, unified support for Sarah McBride from the democrats. It’s a real disgrace. That is your colleague! They are bullying her in your faces. And silence!

I just learned that Goodreads is owned by Jeff Bezos. An alternative is StoryGraph, a Black woman-owned platform (and yes it's really easy to transfer your lists from Goodreads to StoryGraph). You know, while we're moving things.
