Peonies are emerging. Tempted to make comments about how excited they look but I'll censor myself. 🌱

Just spent two hours outside doing a light chop n drop on the diakon radish I planted in late summer. Yay almost spring!

Good morning. 🌱 #firstblooms #crocusflowers #crocusinsnow

Happy 2nd birthday, Izzy! I promised him I would take the hat off of him the second after I snapped the photo and I did. Sorry, buddy. Thank you for putting up with me. πŸ™Š

First crocus to open. #firstblooms2025 #bloomscrolling

Apropos of nothing, I caught myself saying to someone, "I'm really into mycorrhizal fungi right now," and I feel like that's the extent of my social skills these days. πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ #mastergardeners #gardening 🌱

Mark Beaumont describes beautifully everything I'm thinking and feeling about Kendrick Lamar's Superbowl halftime show performance. www.independent.co.uk/arts-enterta...

My main takeaway from Super Bowl ads is how old some of these celebrities have gotten.

please no Super Bowl spoilers I haven't been able to watch the last 52 so I am not caught up yet thanks

New thing for me: Wine spritzes. Fun to play with when all you can afford is shit wine. 3 oz wine 1 oz any vermouth 2+ oz any seltzer Sweet vermouth adds warmth, richness, and mild sweetness with herbal depth. Dry vermouth adds a crisp botanical dryness. I'm using red wine, but you do you.

Now here's a post I can get behind. Many huzzahs to the writer of this brilliance.

Izzy isn't as into tonight's webinar as I am.

Saving money by attempting a face trim at home. Sorry, buddy. Hopefully I'll improve in time. πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

The lack of recovery time between horrifying news stories

Don't try to make sense of things that make no sense. It isn't understandable. Let go of the need to analyze. Find other ways to (*waves hands at everything*).

Saturday marks six years since the Great Kale Outage. 'Twas a sad day for Portland. There's snow in the forecast this week, but it seems we've been better behaved during subsequent weather events. Apparently we just buy out hard liquor now. www.oregonlive.com/trending/202...

Two year old supermarket Kalanchoe. First rebloom. #bloomsky #findjoy 🌱

I'm incapable of saying it better than this.

It's cold out so we turned the volume up.

I finished my first pansy. I felted the petals and then embroidered. Just to calm my mind. A pansy study because, as my mom always used to say, β€œI don’t know why they use pansy as an insult, they’re the toughest flower there is.” May we all be as strong as pansies throughout this storm

I require serotonin boosts. Thus I shall henceforth craft dispatches in an old-timey tongue. This eve twas the first Master Gardener lesson. My heart swelleth with joy. The horrors persist, yet here exists a beacon of light! #MasterGardener #HorticulturalDelights #HopeSpringsEternal

I'm doing this but I'm afraid to comment on the original post on Threads because I don't want to get hated on for my approach. Here's what I'm doing though... (1/5)

Went to my first Master Gardener program event! Met amazing people, including a sustainability manager who built a workplace community garden. No idea where this journey leads for me. "Excited" doesn't even begin to describe me right now! 🌱 #MasterGardener #Sustainability #GardeningCommunity

Moved a ton of bulbs around last fall so can't snag the exact same shot of my crocuses now, but this is cute enough regardless. #PNWGardening 🌱
