The fog coming off Lake Michigan and rolling into the Chicago metro area was pretty wild, honestly I feel I've had dreams that have look a lot like this.

Hope you stayed dry today, got a little soaked taking these in The Loop.

Received a front page in today's Chicago Sun-Times on how embattled Yellow Banana ghosted a local coffee business who had plans to open up a show inside the Englewood Save-A-Lot. Be sure to get a copy if you can today!

Winter is difficult to photograph. Chicago Sun-Times photojournalist Tyler Pasciak LaRiviere says it’s not battling the cold or the wind, but because the season is so visceral and a huge part of the experience. With an assist from a drone, he captures it all. www.wbez.org/weather/2025...

Woke up to this lovely piece from Esther Bergdahl for WBEZ on a lot of the recent winter imagery I've been taking lately, take some time and give it a read if you can. www.wbez.org/weather/2025...

So a funny anecdote to give, when photographing the iced over ladder and the ferris wheel in the background. A Chicago police cruiser pulled over and the cop sitting in the passenger seat rolled the windows down to see if I was okay.

Something that I'm really excited about with getting my Part 107 and doing drone work for the Chicago Sun-Times isn't just the great aerial photos...it's being able to take conventional photos in very treacherous locations.

Received a front page in today's Chicago Sun-Times from our coverage of the struggles Black-owned bookstores are facing in Chicago. Be sure to get a copy if you can today!

Last month, I had to opportunity to meet, chat and photograph some of the owners of the remaining Black owned bookstores in Chicago. The chats I had while taking their portraits ranged from hope and excitement to anxiety and uncertainty.

First drone photo in the paper! And on page 2! Be sure to get a copy of the Chicago Sun-Times if you can today.
