Just read that simon&schuster is doing away with the author endorsement blurbs on book jackets. Brilliant! Those blurbs do nothing for me picking a book (except in some academic settings). I'd rather have a proper summary. #changeIcangetonboardwith

I love all my liberal peeps here on Bluesky but I can't get on-board with the Joe Biden lovefest. What he did to the Palestinians, or facilitated in doing (supplying arms, never stopping Israel) in Gaza this past year, has evaporated my warm feelings for him.

Being a United States Ambassador is the ultimate in king making. You are given all the trappings of a king, surrounded by dozens of people who work to do your bidding and all paid by the U.S. Gov't. Only the most salt of the earth stay grounded (and political appointees are rarely average Joe's).
