Great to have Sir Jonathan Van-Tam at UCL last night for an evening of lessons, five years on from the start of the pandemic @stsucl.bsky.social @uclnews.bsky.social @susanmichie.bsky.social @philipcball.bsky.social @cathhaddon.bsky.social @profaliceroberts.bsky.social

At a fascating event here at @ucl.ac.uk with the great JVT and a fabulous panel, about lessons in communication from Covid. @jackstilgoe.bsky.social made a distinction that I think is underappreciated: between a scientist who understands something and an expert who can interpret that for the public.

Excellent panel discussion @ucl about “Communicating in a crisis: lessons learned five years after Covid” with Jonathan Van-Tam, @susanmichie.bsky.social , @profaliceroberts.bsky.social , Philip Ball, Cath Haddon, Jack Stilgoe .
