This "people will kill themselves" blackmail is increasingly popular (now seen in multiple policy areas) and utterly disgraceful.

Solving unaffordable housing by stopping housebuilding and ‘cracking down on £740m debt’ via 20 grand’s worth of migrant driving lessons. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Revising this opinion: Action Fraud just took 26 days to reply that, despite having the phone number *and bank details* of the person who tried to defraud a relative, there are ‘no lines of enquiry‘. An OOO email would be 25 days faster.

As somebody who suspects that *some* of the rise in these conditions is down to an over-loosening of the diagnostic criteria, can I just say how unexcited I am that it’s now going to be full culture war topic

I did think it was unwise for Evan to have an entire episode calling for woodburning stove owners to be beheaded

I reckon I’ll be using this a lot

I think this is true: a lot of SV libertarianism is little more than “you can’t force me to tidy my room, mom”

Top gift idea for that person you really hate: this and a UV light

Genuinely fascinated as I don’t even have a theory of mind for this. What is it meant to achieve? Who is it for? Which voters do they think will be attracted to Trump analogies? Have they seen his approval ratings? Or Mark Carney’s?

Not the point of the article, but really refreshing to see a newspaper discuss computer games as they would any other type of culture, rather than as some wacky out-there thing for nerds and priapic teens.
