UKLTA runs sci-fi/modern/horror themed LARP. There's the usual mix of role-playing, investigation and puzzle solving but we use outdoor Laser-Tag equipment to simulate ranged combat so you can have tactical gunfights that just work. https://linktr.ee/uklta

It all got last minute but we managed to quickly bash together a promotional leaflet for our 2025 events that'll arrive in time to hand out at #LARPCon. This is why we pushed really hard to get our calendar settled as early as possible: we want people to be able to book at the start of the 'season'.

UKLTA's third event of 2025 is The Weyland Factor a weekend of sci-fi #LARP, 3-5th Oct 2025 at The Grange nr. Coventry, £80 early-bird until 3rd July. This concludes the High Frontier: Gods and Monsters set of games. Each one is broadly self-contained; you don't need to have played the others.

UKLTA's first event of 2025 is Dropzone, 23-26 May at The Grange nr. Coventry. Unusually for UK 'outdoor' #LARP this is an anthology event consisting of multiple shorter games. You can dip in and out of them as you wish. Normally we hope those not playing a 'slot' will crew but you don't have to.

We're having a "build weekend" where we try and turn 14 beaten up 30 year old Laser-Tag Pulse Rifles into usable loan kit for our 2025 events. Going well so far with maybe 10 viable shells. They won't be pretty but with modern electronics in should be effective.

Unlike a lot of #LARP organisations UKLTA doesn't really have a 'canon setting'. This is a result of it being an umbrella organisation made from local clubs. Guides get written to meet a desire for a specific game. Some last years, others get used once. ukltalarp.mozellosite.com/about-1/sett...

Our #LARP events use #LaserTag hardware to do combat resolution. We know that's not something everybody has to hand so any new attendees in 2025 will be loaned something suitable for the character they play. Later this month we are refurbishing several 'Pulse Ranger' weapons like this to loan out.

In September we have the final episode of 'Gods and Monsters' a High Frontier #LARP in our #sci-fi shared universe incorporating elements from movies like #Aliens, #Predator, #BladeRunner, #EventHorizon etc. G&M focuses on 'first contact' vaguely inspired by #Prometheus godsandmonsters.larp.org.uk

In July we are running a #Warhammer40K themed #LARP, Only in Death does Duty End. This will be focused on Imperial Guard characters and Planetary Defence forces during a visit by an Inquisitor and their retinue. Bookings will open in January. In 2025 we are running Warhammer 40K and Aliens/Prometheus themed weekend long events plus our regular 'anthology' May Bank Holiday event Dropzone made up of shorter games. This year Dropzone includes U.N.I.T, Stargate, Cyberpunk and horror themed sections.
