You have to admire the chutzpah of Ted Cruz attacking Karen Bass and Dems in LA right now. Ted Cruz wasn’t on an official trip out of town when Texas snow storms hit & shut down his state - he fled to Cancun AFTER the crisis began, to stay at the Ritz & have a nice time. 250+ people died in Texas

In 2017 I gave the keynote speech, "The barometer of a free press", at the Canadian World Press Freedom luncheon in Ottawa. This was right after Trump was sworn in and he had already floated the idea that libel laws "needed to be looked at". That threat is back. wapo.st/41Rm8U1
