Got a nice amount of stuff done this evening. Organised my living room (moved into new place so boxes everywhere I'm slowly sorting) and finished typing up my notes from the last DnD session (a wild one where the only good outcome was that we all survived).

To be a little real for a second, the USAID news is almost (just almost!) too much for me because I was born in one of those refugee camps. I was a difficult birth, and I know my mother got her natal care in that camp. This stuff absolutely devastates me.

When writing I can craft a fairly nice and poignant dialogue between two characters about understanding of self and acts of self criticism. In person trying to explain why a machine isn't working I blurt out 'sensor no good work'.
