Now playing. This was the sound of 2005/6 for me. Seemed to be playing everywhere you went.

Reminded to play this by the great piece on Harry Hosono in the latest Wire. Perfect for a warm, tired Saturday night.

Tonight's play.

I've been listening to this a lot over the past few weeks. Comes very warmly recommended.

In a queue for coats at the end of a club night an epoch or so ago, I chatted idly to the fellow next to me. He told of a night out he'd spent, having rather "overdone it" on various fronts. 1/2

My brother has just come over for dinner. He hadn't heard about Sly Stone, so I had to break the bad news about him and Brian Wilson. Had a little bit of a cry.

Shitely times of late for yr uncle Munkle, but I feel been buoyed and restored having seen Eric Chenaux and @cwkjoynes.bsky.social tonight.

Two high agency males. Going at it.

Now playing Requiescat Ariel Kalma

Nice to see a good few mentions of the Instant Composers Pool on the timeline today. Makes up for all the times that I get excited that people are talking about them, only to find that instead, it's the Insane Clown Posse.

The last time I went to Tower Records (just before they closed for good), I picked up a vinyl copy of The Bells by Albert Ayler. Didn't have a price on it, so the kindly fellow behind the till rang it up as 99p for me.

Happy Anthony Braxton day to all who celebrate. This one should make light work of 80 candles.

Post a banger that's not in english youtu.be/kUKFiW7gb_g?...

a big mouth billy bass but instead of singing it tells you the exact time and manner of your death

BBB BBB BBB OOO OOO OOO RRR RRR RRR EEE EEE EEE ! ! !

Most of the records I've played tonight haven't really gotten through to my weird old mood. Until this one, anyway.

These could all be lines from Paul's Boutique.

There's a lot to be said for dropping what you're doing and just listening to Sickazz Dog. youtu.be/N70xzdLohQs?...

Now listening - 'Separating the art from the Artist' number 483/???.
