they should make a country that doesn’t hate you and want you to die

Can't tell you how important this album was to me at 17/18. I basically learned to play guitar and write songs from it. I still enjoy it, but it doesn't provide the same feelings it did back then.

yes this 100% all the overblown and patronizing “librarians are superheroes who will save us all” posts work my nerves want to support us? pay attention. speak out on our behalf. run for or seek appointment on your local library board. pay attention to what’s going on in school libraries.

Hey, did you know that during Casey Kasem's first run on American Top 40 (1970-1988), there was never once a guest hosted show during the month of February? Isn't that fascin--- wait, where are you going?

When a single billionaire can accumulate more money in 10 seconds than their employees make in one year, while workers struggle to meet the basic cost of rent and medicine, then yes, every billionaire really is a policy failure. Read our op-ed here ⤵️

I get so angry when I am doing some monotonous mundane task like getting my babies’ dinner ready or putting clothes away and I think of how hard everyone works trying to build a life, millions of us, quietly, only to have these careless motherfuckers breeze in and try to destroy it

Oh, I have another one: Post your favorite Doctor (Who). Wrong answers only

Post your favorite #DoctorWho - wrong answers only!

Change the bored to scared and the and to yet and that panel is my life.

I was looking for a movie to watch and I wasn't sure if it was available on a free streaming service or if I'd have to pay. In other words, Tubi or not Tubi, that was the question.

/obscure music joke Found out there's a state park in Georgia named Tallulah Gorge and now I'm walking around singing "Tallulah Gorge was a filmstar for a day... Tallulah Gorge was a top celebrity..."

Unlike you I get my news from a reliable source

It's 2025. The world is falling apart, my personal life is falling apart, I'm about to turn 50. Can everything just slow down please?

I don’t want to meet your kin Make you spin or do you in Or select you or dissect you Or inspect you or reject you All I really want to do Is lock myself in a room and listen to records for the next 4 years or so... (sorry Bob)

While I'm waiting for my new glasses to come in, I've been wearing an old pair I found in a drawer in my bedside table. They make me look like I should be hosting Sprockets. Why did I wear these? Yeesh.

I tend not to believe in past lives or reincarnation, but I also find it hard to explain the way a lot of 1960s music affects me. Dylan, Ochs, Byrds, Beatles... heck, even the Monkees and the Turtles can make my arm hair stand on end and chills go down my spine. Yet I wasn't born until 1975...

Finally heard the new Cure album all the way through. Definitely the best thing they've done since Bloodflowers, possibly best since Wish. I give it 8 out of 10.

I don't know how I managed to do it, but I appear to have lost my glasses. Looked everywhere for them. Can't see a darn thing without them. And because I have progressive lenses, can't get new ones till next week. Fun. Wow.

we all have an emotional support dead famous guy and who he is says a lot about you

"You'll be visited by three spirits." The three spirits:

Q: Can you explain the gap in your resume? A: I never worked for The Gap.

The 1980 election. I especially remember wondering on election night, looking at the TV, "I know who Carter is, and Reagan, but who the heck is this Anderson guy?"

These days, I'm down to: The Big Takeover, Under The Radar, The Hockey News, Stereophile, The Absolute Sound, and Astronomy.

Also the crossover potential! Bert and Ernie become the Doctor's new companions!
