Here's a one stop donation mechanism using Oath that won't sign you up for constant emails. app.oath.vote/donate?ref=P.... Just click on "House Specials" to select all three.

They have an account here, @inkconsole.bsky.social, & I think these are worthy questions to ask. I really wish that instead of building new hardware, they'd targeted an existing well-supported eReader device like one of the Kobo units that allows easy software modification.

Ooh, hadn't thought of rePalm on the Presto, that would be pretty sweet.

Ah... I remember cache issues I had years ago trying to get ARM code running in our CodeWarrior for Palm tools. Had to flush and invalidate caches after doing relocations because that all went though the D cache, but needed to execute through the I cache.

Is the cache coherency is to allow read access across the multiple CPU cores? Can this support multiple cores writing to a single PSRAM file?

Man, I long for the day when American supermarkets have the variety of ready-made vegetarian-friendly sandwiches (including the Ploughman's Lunch) that you can find in any UK grocery or chemist shop.

I've got one of the community-built Atari 576NUC+ boxes setup as an analog TV source for testing Roku TVs here at my cubicle.

I reached out to my new council member @mikesiegeld7.bsky.social after November's election to join the board because I wanted to find a place to serve efforts to address the inequity in access to tech across the city. This is needed more than ever.

Thanks for reaching out to our representatives. I've used the web forms a few times for all three, and Doggett's staff tends to send the most responsive replies for sure.

They're also dealing with the many problems created in the last weeks around funding for a lot of their projects at the moment, so everyone is very stressed. I really appreciate the outreach.

She did note that GT had closed their DEI office in 2023 after the previous Supreme Court decision on affirmative action with admissions, and they were looking at how to modify programs like Women in Engineering to address "civil rights complaints" they'd received.

An email from the College of Computing dean later said that they were not asking faculty and students to modify their posted research and personal sites at this time, and the communication staffer said they considered this an issue of academic freedom.

you can't run a government by moving fast and breaking things. that's antithetical to the whole idea of an organized society.

Answering my own question, I followed that to developer.rebble.io/developer.pe... which notes Raster Gothic is by Mark Simonson, BitHam is based on Gotham, and LECO 1976 is from Monotype. Only Droif Serif is a free typeface.

Looking at the open source announcement, I'm curious about why fonts weren't included. Some are built from open fonts, but were the others licensed from a foundry for limited use? developer.rebble.io/developer.pe...

I was surprised not to see @charliejane.bsky.social on the list, then noticed the subtitle said it was just the first half of the year, and her new book, "Lessons in Magic and Disaster" is out in August.

Here in north Austin, we have two active video rental collections: We Luv Video (www.weluvvideo.org) was a kickstarted non-profit that sprung up in 2022, while the Alamo Drafthouse Village has a "Video Vortex" collection that's free for patrons. drafthouse.com/austin/news/...

That episode, oxide-and-friends.transistor.fm/episodes/sca..., is well worth a listen too, especially if you want to know more about the design decisions that have gone into this weird, wonderful place so far.
