Thrilled to be presenting at this symposium alongside the fabulous @taylorwdriggers.bsky.social among others! My talk, you may be unsurprised to learn, draws from my PhD research on The Lord of the Rings fan to reflect on how the stories we read and reread when young shape our lifelong identities.

Really excited for this symposium in April! I'll be sharing some juicy archival tidbits about the editorial process for Ursula K. Le Guin's novel POWERS, & what it can tell us about YA publishing trends in the 2000s. Thrilled to be on a panel with Marita Arvaniti & @amandalandegren.bsky.social!
