What's up with the invitation letters for the India visa for those who are traveling to ICASSP this year? The conference is less than a month away and we still haven't received our letters. I suspect many registered participants won't be able to attend because of that :/ #ICASSP

I love how DiffRhythm keeps changing time signatures à la Dream Theater (ie, seemingly random). The vocals are in a quite deep uncanny valley, but the music sounds super good. And the audio prompting works really well! And all open source! Great job, titans <3 huggingface.co/spaces/ASLP-...

We didn't expect this... our Sketch2Sound demo video has gone viral on IG with more than 5.2 million views 🤯 Amazing job @hugofloresgarcia.bsky.social @pseeth.bsky.social @urinieto.bsky.social I should've done my hair... www.instagram.com/reel/DEEBRhd...

After using Cursor with Sonnet 3.5 for around a month, I gotta say it truly is a game changer. I don't think I ever want to go back to coding without AI assistants. The "vibes coding" that Karpathy is talking about is 100% real www.reddit.com/r/ChatGPTCod... PS: Yes, I gave up Neovim 🫣

📢PSA: #NeurIPS2024 recordings are now publicly available! The workshops always have tons of interesting things on at once, so the FOMO is real😵‍💫 Luckily it's all recorded, so I've been catching up on what I missed. Thread below with some personal highlights🧵

Excited to share that our works Sketch2Sound and Re-CLAP have been accepted to #ICASSP2025! What a titanic set of collaborators I am extremely lucky to have! Happy holidays everyone! Stetch2Sound: arxiv.org/abs/2412.08550 Re-CLAP: arxiv.org/abs/2409.09213

I propose we replace semantic versioning with pride versioning

Fantastic work done by Hugo the titan while doing his internship at Adobe. Check it out! Look at that crazy guitar video (what a beautiful guitar Hugo!) 😍

So excited to share our Google DeepMind team's new Nature paper on GenCast, an ML-based probabilistic weather forecasting model: www.nature.com/articles/s41... It represents a substantial step forward in how we predict weather and assess the risk of extreme events. 🌪️🧵

Come work at our team, you titan! :)

Announcing 🥂 FineWeb2: A sparkling update with 1000s of 🗣️languages. We applied the same data-driven approach that led to SOTA English performance in🍷 FineWeb to thousands of languages. 🥂 FineWeb2 has 8TB of compressed text data and outperforms other datasets.

Every time I open Twitter I regret it within 20s

I wanted to make my first post about a project close to my heart. Linear algebra is an underappreciated foundation for machine learning. Our new framework CoLA (Compositional Linear Algebra) exploits algebraic structure arising from modelling assumptions for significant computational savings! 1/4

0.005%! what do I unlock with this life achievement? 😍

I love it when titanic papers talk about Titanic

It's time for the next Boston AI Music Meetup! Join us this Thursday, Dec 5th at BasisTech to hear from our two speakers: Anirudh Mani and Manaswi Mishra. www.meetup.com/boston-ai-mu...

Did you know? Black Friday is named in honor of Rebecca Black, who invented Friday in 2011.

So excited to share this incredible work I've been lucky to be part of! All in 48kHz, you audio titans! 😍

A list of bands in order of efficacy: 3. Placebo 2. The Cure 1. Prevention

We just received a Marginal Reject for one of our ICASSP papers, and the full justification was: "Must improve quality of presentation and evaluation." Seriously?? That's it?? Reviewers, we must do a much better job than this, especially when rejecting!

So happy to see the research community moving over to these bluer skies! :)

Wanted to give a shout-out to @ednewtonrex.bsky.social for the highly thought-provoking keynote he gave at ISMIR this year. I'm still thinking about it quite a lot. Very titanic <3

“bluesky is an echo chamber” everywhere’s an echo chamber i’m going with the one without cybertruck guys

After more than two years in the making, ISMIR is over. It has been one of the most intense weeks of my life, but it was absolutely worth it. I wrote more about it on my blog: www.urinieto.com/ismir24/

This chart by Mona Chalabi is on my mind today.

Well, hello Bluesky! Excited to be here :)
