"I love you, Vax'ildan. I'll see you again." If you know; you know 🥺😭. Keyleth cosplay by: me 📸: @valeriemeachum.bsky.social #keylethcriticalrole #keylethandvax #keylethcosplay #photoshoot #keylethcosplayer #keylethoftheairashari #criticalrolecosplay #cosplay

In the discussion the last couple days, I've mentioned both A Tale of Two Cities and The Scarlet Pimpernel as musicals that are set during "the" French Revolution (as Les Miz is not).

"I know we’re all tired. But I’m not ready to give up — or fall in line as a weary liberal who just wants to live their life. Because the truth is stunning, even as those in power try to make it opaque: our lives will never be the same."

So this is specifically the *finale reprise* - the message to the audience that they've witnessed tragedy after tragedy for 3 hours but it doesn't have to always be that way because we *know how to be better*... And in medley with "One Day More"? *retrieves jaw from lap*

All the suggestions for what federal employees should do with that ridiculous email are hilarious, but I dearly hope the majority of them are doing what I would do: Report it as a phishing attempt and get on with my day.

Today on Backyard Birb Buffet: While I was reaching up to put the freshly filled feeder on the pole, a mourning dove hurtled within about 4 inches of my head, shifting course with a flurry of feathers and frantically squawking what I can only presume was dove for "ABORT ABORT ABORT ABORT ABORT!" 🤣

Today’s glimmer: evidence of the hoppity-hops of my favorite animal through the back yard snow. I hope he stays safe, and found something to eat in my sleeping garden.

Playing a selkie in my new D&D campaign may be the best character choice I've ever made, if only because of the endless supply of seal gifs to drop in the player chat. 😄🦭

Being continually mistaken for younger than I am has been a valuable lesson in how incredibly patronizing my own generation can be. Usually without meaning to, but I really think some folks couldn't wait to talk down to the young'uns the way adults talked down to us.

MOOD. (I am instead in the waiting room ahead of oral surgery, but best believe this is next on the agenda. 😄)

Latest step in my Friendly Neighborhood Druid evolution: @cornellbirds.bsky.social Merlin is my new favorite mobile game. 😄 #BackyardWildlife

The problem with writing a parody you're really proud of: I'm gonna have to kill some darlings to get "This Place Is Mine" (Delilah Briarwood Edition) under the 3-minute limit for the C2E2 talent show 😅

"Do you fluff your tail at me sir?" "I do not fluff my tail at you, sir. BUT I DO FLUFF MY TAIL, SIR."

Good morning from birb who decided turnabout's fair play! 😄 #BackyardWildlife

Still some work to do (such as, y'know, a hem) but Allura officially Looks Like A Thing!

Today at the backyard buffet: The corvids have entered the chat.

This morning the NYT tells me 112.75 of the 1,025 people Axios polled support deporting immigrants who are in the country *legally* (and 2% don't know). I have questions (of method and presentation) but no time today to dig into them @hankgreen.bsky.social style. Any takers?

Dreamt most of a movie about a horse in witness protection. Not my kind of comedy, which is okay because it was not a comedy. I can't imagine this concept would work, and I don't recall many details, but I still woke up annoyed that I didn't get to see the ending. #mybrainisaweirdplace

Weird that we have to say this, but the government doesn’t get to decide what gender a person is.

Trump’s proposal to strip birthright citizenship from those born in this nation is unconstitutional. In Illinois, we follow the law. This is only the start of attempts to undermine the rule of law, and Illinoisans can count on me to stand against unconstitutional actions.

I've submitted my Fabric 101 to C2E2 a couple times. Hopefully this will be the year they pick it up! Definitely punching up the online ordering portion in future presentations.

Whatever you think of the customer experience at Joann in recent years, please be kind to the store associates if you do go in. They have been THROUGH it. They would already be gone if they could find better jobs, and now they're looking down the barrel of unemployment.

Dunno what the rest of the dream was about, but the last image as I woke up this morning? A dachshund in a ghillie suit hurtling out of a tiny cave to land on the deck of a Wisconsin Dells tour boat. #MyBrainIsAWeirdPlace

"I always got a bad vibe off--" *BZZZZZZZT* Stop right there. Ask yourself: What is accomplished by saying that? Go ahead. Find an answer other than "making yourself feel superior at the expense of people who are hurting." I'll wait. Even if it's true? This. Is. Not. The. Time.

You know you've curated your feed properly when you see post after post reminding people how not to be heartless ghouls in the face of others' misfortune... and nary a one from said ghouls.
