Ukraine on Saturday was seriously considering a revised American proposal to relinquish revenues from its natural resources. According to a draft document, the new proposal contains virtually the same provisions that Kyiv previously rejected, and some tougher terms.

This did not go well for the investment firm CEO. Not one little bit.

Most unsettling thing about the Chair of the Joint Chiefs nominee—besides a political purge opening the spot—is not that he lacks the legal requirements. He’s not far off. It’s that Trump reportedly picked him because he said beating ISIS would be quick and easy. Feeds Trump’s delusions about force.

Kudos to GOP Senator Thom Tillis for calling out Trump’s dangerous policy of surrendering to war criminal Putin. Now, he and other pro-Ukraine Republicans should start using their power as U.S. senators to restrain Trump as much as possible.

What is it with these women? Do they think Musk is going to marry them if they have his children? That's not his MO.

Watch Sarah Longwell talk to Kara Swisher abt Musk regarding Focus Group options of Musk. Kara's known Musk for years so her opinion of him is accurate. The conversation btwn these 2 will greatly add to folks knowledge of Musk & even Trump. (I too am a SV alum) youtube.com/watch?v=SXRB...

SCOTUS just knocked Trump down in major ruling. Honestly, I'm getting just a wee bit hopeful SCOTUS is looking at the constitution & consequences of Trump & saying NO, he's not a king & he has no authority to interpret the law & Constitution as he wishes. youtube.com/watch?v=V2oO...

The AP filed suit against Trump on 1A & 5A grounds. AP is a nonprofit news aggregator agency that's been around for over 100 yrs. It's the most popular & respected news source on the planet. Trump won't win this case anymore than Hitler did when he tried to kill AP. youtube.com/watch?v=ImmC...

🎧: Sudanese-born writer and broadcaster @yassmin.bsky.social joins this week’s episode of the Prospect podcast. Sudan’s war has been called the “worst humanitarian crisis in the world”. And yet, media coverage is staggeringly low. Is it a “forgotten war?” podfollow.com/the-pr...

Proud of folks like this one, standing up for what's right and good. They're the heroes we need. Let's hope they're numbers grow into a movement that rejects Trump's hate & Musk's inflated ego.

This is the kind of research RFK Nr wants to halt. Are you proud, MAGA?

The GOP must be awfully proud.

Fearless and independent investigative journalism is needed more than ever in these times. Attempts to suppress this story on Trump and the KGB demonstrate this ⬇️ To help fund the stories you won't read in the established press, and to keep honesty alive, subscribe: subscribe.bylinetimes.com

The nepo baby who only *succeeded* because his father gave him $400,000,00o+ to conpensnate for his failed businesses.

Excellent listen, but a chilling one too: It looks like Putin has achieved what he wanted - undermined faith in NATO's Article 5 on collective defense. Would the US come to the defense of the Baltics if Putin were to invade? It's not guaranteed now - a huge blow to security in Eastern Europe.

You know how you can tell Zelenskyy isn't a dictator? The President doesn't like him.

Slovak has a pro-Russian government rather than a pro-European one. So what Slovak says can be ignored as pro-Putin propaganda.

🎨This week’s news, as seen through the eyes of the world’s political cartoonists👇

Extortion, pure and simple.

Don't ever forget this statement Trump made. He's now in the process of getting those generals.

The entire business model of American R1 universities is not viable without restoration of federal funding, & every individual institution pretending it can solve this problem alone is also not viable. University presidents need to be speaking out, collectively & loudly about this, in DC, right now.

It’s imperative at this point that Europe develop a defense posture independent of the United States, which should be treated as the ally of Russia that it has now become.

Musk is a criminal who ought to be arrested. The AGs & State Police need to be on alert to the threats & violence Musk could unleash. He's a dangerous criminal.

Ukraine has become the European leader in military weapons. Their innovation leads all of Europe, and according to some reports, even the US in some weapons.

The massive underground facility, which has been used to store archives since the 1960s, remains a crucial but convoluted hub for US government records.

An entire generation of young Russian men are dead. That's why Putin is anxious to get Trump to force the capitulation of Ukraine. He can't afford to continue his war, but he's afraid of the backlash if he loses it.

Just look at these paragraphs from the AP story. Hegseth called Brown unqualified solely because he's Black. Then they fired him... and replaced him with a white guy so indisputably unqualified that he requires a Presidential waiver. This is what "merit" means to them. apnews.com/article/trum...

Musk/Trump don't care. Neither really works for the best interests of the nation. They're working to satisfy their inflated but very fragile egos. And if people suffer and die or the nation suffers catastrophic economic & physical events, they both will deny any fault or responsibility.

💥Trump's federal purge is more than just headlines—it's a real threat to our lives. The generational damage it will cause is incalculable. NEW: open.substack.com/pub/stopdoom...

Rep Raskin has been great. Rep Ocasio-Cortez has been great. And Rep Frost and Rep Crockett. Senator Murphy. Maybe no one knew exactly what to do. But such people laid down a clear marker. Let’s respect these and other elected federal representatives who stood out these first few weeks.

So are S Korea and Japan.

Why would either one want to help Putin eliminate Ukraine & Ukrainians? That's counter productive for Europe, especially since Putin's already said other nations would be in his sights.

Wow. Seems potentially credible. Certainly fits with published timelines made public in his previous administration. If true, Trump is a traitor and has to be removed from office.

It’s the “so far” part that scares me.

This strikes me, to use one of my (many) favorite French expressions, as une question mal posée. The problem is not, are we having a constitutional crisis? Only an idiot would deny that. The real problem is that we are experiencing overt constitutional failure. www.theatlantic.com/newsletters/...

Trump’s anti-DEI zealots have the scent of religious or revolutionary fervour—as mini-Robespierres go about guillotining any hint of wokery. It seems likely there will be a backlash to the backlash, writes @benansell.bsky.social. www.prospectmagazine...
