Mum died on Saturday. She would have been 88 today. I feel sad of course I do, but she had become so very, very frail. She fought for the best for us as kids, was utterly devoted to my step father, and loved her grandchildren to bits. Truly a life well lived. RIP mum xx

Rant of day. 5G here, middle of nowhere, edge of moor. Town where we live 10 miles away has patchy 4G, 3G which they’re going to turn off, and lots of E which I think is 2G🤷🏼‍♀️

Need grey cat to come in so she is catchable in house. Can see a lot of blood on her face from her recent surgery site. A vet trip methinks.

Grey cat 💕😻 has not had a good April so far. But the vet gave her the all clear yesterday after her eye surgery recovery. She is SO pleased not to have to wear that horrid protective collar and be confined to the house any more.

I only kept 1 recipe from my 1 term of school cooking lessons 50 odd years ago. I’ve make it from time to time and have done so again today, thinly rolled out Welshcake dough circles sandwiched together with a coffee spoon of jam and then cooked on the griddle. Really nice.

We divided to conquer this afternoon. OH painted awkward, big, outside wall. I repotted orchid, put brisket on slow cook, made ratatouille and creamed leeks, cooked sausages, and consoled poorly grey cat.
