in rural red states (where I am) the local democratic party is laughably bad and corrupt, almost completely a scam, essentially embezzling taxpayer money under the pretense of helping the working class

Government has become so corrupt (esp local govts) that I feel like it’s hard for folks in rural areas to justify a tax increase when it’s just going to be embezzled away

MEN get opportunities for being "controversial" women do not get that luxury. Instead, we're framed as crazy, unhinged, loud, and generally "too much." Women are targets of outrage lose opportunities, they lose speaking gigs, book deals, jobs, I have reported on so many terrible cases.

Not only that but it completely ignores evidence that the death toll is much higher, recent reporting that children are being killed by snipers, and blames Hamas for not bringing peace to the region. At no point do these opinion editors consider the fact there is a genocide going on.

Youre feeling like an imposter probably bc most workplaces / universities ect aren’t actually structured around solving problems/changing systems/helping others and when you succeed with that there’s no actual reward within your institution
