Osorio played a tactically spot on match against the current version of Naomi. Deep returns to handcuff, good drop shots/luring Osaka at net where she’s quite uncomfortable. Naomi didn’t have the serve rythym (potentially the Ab still bothering her). Too many baseline errors too.

Caroline Garcia reversed her 0-3 H2H vs Bernarda Pera! Jeopardy free 6-3 6-4 start in Round 1 Caro has traditionally played Iga tough in the rivalry and can have more time to square up those aggressive 2nd serve returns in slower conditions. 2023 Beijing was a great quality match from both.

Indian Wells changing their court surface to a more smoother laykold. The gritty surface made it so fascinating & added another variable of intrigue to see could adapt. I wouldn’t want conditions in Indian Wells to be the same as Miami as the that’s what made it such a unique feat to win the double.

Tomas Machac has been displaying a borderline Top 10 level for a while - dude’s seriously talented. The court coverage elite, backhand down the line a huge asset, hands at the net are top drawer, and now the consistency from week to week is catching up. 1st title super deserved!!

Always a pleasure to chat with Steve after a major! We get into it all from: - Keys’ magnificent title run - Sabalenka & Swiatek just missing out - Gauff, Badosa, Rybakina - Sinner, Alcaraz, Djokovic, Zverev - All the young teenagers that rocked week 1 on the men’s side - worries about ATP 90s Gen

Such a great piece right here. The imagery is so good that reading it will make you feel like you were actually on the Melbourne grounds; even if you spent the two weeks of the slam glued to your screens until your eyes gave out & you succumbed to a rarity called sleep.

Always a blast to talk tennis with Steve Flink So many 2024 ATP topics covered on this ⬇️

This week, I watched a trilogy that moved me so much. Unbelievable acting, directing, chemistry between the characters, and dialogue. Real authenticity with a simple concept, but deep profound meaning. Before Sunrise (1995) Before Sunset (2004) Before Midnight (2013) Absolute cinema. MASTERPIECE‼️
