It's kind of funny that the new Bluesky icon is more reminiscent of Twitter than Twitter/X's current icon

I dream of using these pics as an inspiring source for a movie version of the great XVIIIth classic Chinese novel “The Story of the Stone” (石頭記) aka: “The Dream of the Red chamber” (紅樓夢). Pics from IG A.I. Fashion designer: @hilke.muslim #TheStoryOfTheStone #StoryOfTheStone #DreamOfTheRedChamber

In my experience, 90% of the "good parts" of office culture can be made up by meeting in person with your team for a week every 3 months and is absurdly cheaper for companies than renting massive office spaces for their entire workforces year-round. Remote work allows people to have lives.

When you repeatedly stumble upon an apocryphal quote and decide it’s time to share the right source. It is not from Victor Hugo but from Katherine Pancol. Not XIXth but XXIth century fiction. #apocrypha #quotes #KatherinePancol #pancol #LesEcureuilsdeCentralParkSontTristesleLundi #VictorHugo #hugo

“Sachez que je vous admire, parce que vous avez magnifiquement réussi l’impossible, et que vous le faites chaque jour.” Marcel Pagnol à Jean Vilar, dans: «Jean Vilar, une biographie épistolaire: 260 lettres de et à Jean Vilar» Actes Sud, Collection Actes Sud-Papiers. Le temps du théâtre, 2023.

Marvels of A.I. applied to machine translation: when you can do a search about your favourite Japanese contemporary writer Ogawa Yoko in the Note Japan social net and you obtain results that Google translates for you. #translation #machinetranslation #ogawayoko #note #notesocialnetwork

“Do you feel what I feel? Do you take what I take?“. Painting by Andrew Salgado. «Doritos, pikachu, a massive novel you keep falling asleep to. This piece is titled STAR GUITAR after @thechemicalbrothers»

What strikes me is the fact that this common experience here could be superficially judged as in flagrant contradiction with the native openness of the net as a positive value. Instead it is yet another proof that Karl Popper was right when he defined the famous paradox about the “open society”

Interesting what is emerging from Bsky members: the general experience of a virtual environment which is way more pleasing than the “other” social networks. Which means that a closed environment of varied people with a common will to communicate but no polemics is quite good.

A new pandemic is coming: “QUEER PANDÈMIA”, an exhibition at BASE Milan, Milan, Italy, from 6/22/2023 to 7/2/2023. #queers #queerart #queerculture #queerphotography #queerinstagram

It is strange to watch similar people who could easily get along actively choose not to. Maybe they don't see the similarities? Or maybe they do but don't like what they see. Is the you that you see in someone else beautiful and fragile, just like you are? They should be. We all are.

Hey folks, Bluesky has now passed 500,000 users! It's incredible to think only a few months ago we were celebrating 50k in a fun little club. It's wild to see how much the actions of a few people with bad money sense cause folks to flock to something new and exciting. I'm glad you're all here!

in times like this, I like to think of this inspiring quote from Mircea Cartarescu’s Solenoid: “help! help! help! help! help! help! help! help! help! help! help! help! help! help! help! help! help! help! help! help! help! help! help! help! help! help! help! help! help! help! help! help! help! help!”
