The fact that Ruud van Nistelrooy's name and face will always be associated with this failure gladdens and sustains me.

Spurs are 16th.

Arsenal win an appeal on Arteta’s punishment, see what happens. MLS’ call appealed and overturned, see what happens. It’s not that hard to understand how human beings work, how they do not like being told they are wrong, and how that can manifest. Acknowledging this is not “conspiracy”.

Not being funny, but I don't think Everton did anything at all to deserve that point. Never a penalty for me, but I don't think we did enough to score the second goal either. Hopefully those are useful minutes for Bukayo Saka who looks understandably rusty. A game that befits this season tbf

I really can’t deal with the Unai stans in the Arsenal fan base. Such a weird opinion to cling to after five years.

Pedri is my favorite player in the world to watch right now, not just on the ball but also off it. I broke down a possession from yesterday that shows why

Genuinely unaware of anyone in the media actually expressing these views.

3 assists from 8 chances created, 3 shots and 1.3 xG plus xA. A promising outing from Odegaard

Is there a place I can post on the internet where there are no Liverpool fans?

If Arsenal beat Fulham next GW and Spurs don’t beat Chelsea away then it will officially be St Totteringham’s day on 3rd April. Beating Fulham on April Fool’s Day would take us to 61 points, the maximum that Spurs can get from here so it would effectively be done on that day. How fitting.

This was very similar to how I saw us lose to Mourinho’s peak Chelsea team several times. Nick a goal and then hold them off cos you’re physically stronger and your defence is better than their attack.

I’m sure Zubimendi is a phenomenal footballer which would explain why smart clubs are after him. I’ll confess when I’ve watched him, including the scouting video, I didn’t really get it with him. Maybe telling on myself but just haven’t been very impressed 🤷‍♂️

We've just seen the two best teams in the Champions League. The better of them won... just.

A magical night at Anfield imo

i have literally never heard anyone in my entire life say match of the day should speed up the highlights so we can get back to alan shearer.

Ødegaard now up to 15th in the Premier League for shots created via live-ball passing, with his nearest minutes-played peer about 170 ahead of him

I’m sometimes critical of Barney Ronay’s takes (he’s a terrific writer even when the takes are bad), but this piece is extremely good www.theguardian.com/football/202...

Sometimes the name Mudryk just comes up and I am thankful that Arsenal were able to avoid that mistake. It's the small things in life sometimes.

Was your relationship with Luis Enrique difficult? “No, very, very good. He’s an excellent coach. Having a coach like him is a privilege.” Even though he didn’t play you much? “I was the one on the pitch, not him. He gave me chances.” -- Love this Kolo Muani interview so much.

Just did not see that coming. What a night. So clear the six day run up at the game was so necessary to readjust what we were doing, so many more runners from deep from all over the map, we have a hell of a coach.

Sad to report that I have today realised Barry Glennnnndennnning is on this platform now too. A major reason why I had to stop listening to the Guardian podcast. Unhinged.

Trossard deserves a lot of credit for the touchline playmaking. Couple of passes-before-the-pass that set everything into motion. He's not doing typical 1v1 dribbling, just manipulating the ball a little before firing it in on either foot. Playing to his strengths, hard to defend.

A week is really too long between episodes of Severance.

Partey costs us so many goals, I’ve no idea why Arteta is so tolerant of it.

Are you a real Arsenal fan if you're not worried that we've used up too many of our goals?

Premier League top 25 players in shot creating actions from open play passes. Liverpool have 6 players in the top 25

Embarrassing for Jurgen Klopp that Arne Slot has made winning the league look this easy imo. If Klopp were a truly influential coach like Arsène Wenger he would have ensured his replacement was an absolute clown.

Really great to see KdB look old and we don't benefit from it. Really fucking great.

To the new Villa boys: you are NOT helping.

For Arsenal's piece this season, I wanted to study the development of Black Arsenal. The only place to start: by sitting down with Paul Davis and letting him be my guide. We did this: inews.co.uk/sport/footba...

btw

David Raya has been pretty awesome in goal this season. His distribution is also intriguing - passing percent isn't the highest, but plenty completed into the wide areas and he almost never goes long centrally.

Manchester United. 15th in the Premier League. Rotting like that cucumber you forgot at the bottom of the fridge. Superb.

~70% of this without Saka, on top of everything. Arteta's best work as a manager.
