Uninstalled the McD's app few years ago after it prepared my order (& charge me) at 2 locations 3000km apart simultaneously. They have a new game that requires the app, so I tried. It rejected 4 of 5 emails I tried, then flashed errors that quickly disappeared scanning a piece. So... it still sucks.

Is there a consistent argument why, in Canada, Google Maps says "Gulf of Mexico (Gulf of America)" (the former being our name for it, the latter the name one of its border countries gives it), yet only "Germany" (our name for it) and not "Germany (Deutschland)" (i.e. include their own name for it)?

This is truly alarming! DEI conversation stirs strong reactions, but if a medical study calls for diversity in clinical trials, it's to determine how all races, genders, etc. RESPOND to treatment. Failing to diversify test subjects can result in ineffective treatments for whole demographics.
