Add'l cases reported in New Mexico. Per project med advisor, @pauloffit.bsky.social, measles is so contagious that after an infected person is examined, hospital can't use the room for 2 hrs. 51% of kids under 5 will be admitted. Best case, they'll be fine. Worst, dead or permanently brain damaged.

In 1962 author Roald Dahl's oldest child Olivia was infected with measles. Days later she died from encephalitis, an inflammation of the brain. This was one year before the first measles vaccine. In 1986 he wrote a heartfelt letter to parents about the importance of vaccines.
