I am reminded that there is that of God in everyone. Frankly, it is sometimes very difficult to see that Light in individuals, especially in many of our elected leaders. It seems they have diminished their inner Light until it is either no longer recognizable or even visible.

I am kind of cranky...especially about a select # of people who have zillions of dollars in the bank who seem to think their zillions automatically imbue them with the correct answers. It doesn't. It'd be more helpful if their zillions could imbue them with kindness, compassion, and empathy.

Words matter... If there is a litany of frivolous and/or non-serious intentions spoken by those in power, then those words should make one question the seriousness and intentionality of the speaker. If they do not...well...it doesn't speak well of the hearer.

I follow several ministers on FB in hopes of understanding how and why Christianity is where it is today, especially fundamental sects as this is my religious heritage. All I can say is...there is a lot of narcissism wrapped in righteousness...and a whole lot more wrapped in self-righteousness.
