In the late 70s my father rode Grand Fondos (like Trondheim-Oslo 540 km). As a busy father of three children, the training rides were mainly the 70 km to his home farm in Selbu on Fridays and back to Trondheim on Sundays. At the age of 79, on his way to Selbu this Friday as well.

After his crash, Johannes rode the queen stage in Slovenia with a damaged shoe. He removed the broken BOA by tearing it off with determined force, in the same way he had seen MVDP do it in Glasgow.

We are well into June and past the first Grand Tour of the year. Uno-X Mobility didn't race much, but put in a solid block of altitude training during the Giro weeks. Still number 13 and no more than 1000 points behind Red Bull in 8th this year. Very solid.

Sundvolden GP & Ringerike GP 2025. Great to see the very likeable Niklas Larsen back at a high level. Niklas was strong, pushing the home favorites and creating two entertaining races. However, Uno-X Mobility were solid and secured 1st and 2nd both days.

Johannes stayed with the chasers and secured a 1-2 not only for Uno-X Mobility, but Andreas and Johannes are also members of the local cycling club Ringerike SK. Ringerike SK celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2025 by hosting Sundvolden GP, Ringerike GP and the Nationals. 💙

My first Sundvolden GP was in 2014, when the race was called Hadeland GP. Birger Hungerholdt and Ringerike SK always organize top-class cycling races, and some are truly legendary. Jonas Vingegaard fought for victory in 2017 and 2018, but narrowly missed the podium both years.

Today’s stage of Tour of Türkiye starts in the UNESCO World Heritage Site Ephesus. When Johannes turned 21 on April 14th, he visited his grandparents in the UNESCO World Heritage mountain village Røros. Four solid hours on the bike before birthday dinner with his family.
