Former Senator Doug Jones, in a ZOOM call earlier today, said "MAGA now stands for Meta, Apple, Google & Amazon." He then added something about not having figured out where to put Tesla. I guess he hasn't seen the commentariats' use of "MAGAT." It was coined for other reasons, but we can retcon.

The fentanyl excuse for trade war with Canada is such a stupid lie. Only the rubest of rubes will buy it. Fentanyl from Canada is a minimal problem, and the US gets much better counter-narcotics results from cooperation across the shared 5,525 mile border than from threatening their whole economy.

Just saw the “The Umbrellas of Cherbourg” (1964) for the first time. Didn’t go in with expectations. Was blown away. 1. A singing opera of a movie, with au courant music. It works so beautifully. 2. The colours, the cinematography of the restored editon.
