Unequivocally fall into the camp of "all the villains in my stories have standards and use indoor shoes and swap them out" (sometimes offscreen lol). Goodness, I hate outdoor shoes in my own home. In college I had a line of duct tape on the floor beyond which shoes weren't allowed.

Niche stories are sometimes the most fun when the source work resonates with you. A good reminder to creators that often the numbers don't matter nearly as much as the satisfaction you derive from the finished work. Obviously we have to eat (for those of us who work sometimes for $$$), but still.

Comments brighten my day more than any number of favs/likes/etc. because they can show that someone meaningfully engaged with your work. I do try to always reply as a result. Completely unrelatedly, I discovered the dA app truncates comment replies that include a line break to...the line break.
