Trump's paternal grandfather, Frederick, traveled to the US in order to dodge military service in Germany. For that, the Bavarian government stripped him of his citizenship and banished him. Frederick lived in the US for six years before gaining citizenship. He was illegal everywhere in the world.

The United States had a trade SURPLUS with 111 countries in 2024 (Motley Fool). From the math of the USTR's formula, the tariff is negative. The US Treasury needs to PAY the importers who bring in what those countries export. Example: The Netherlands exports vaccines to the US. #TrumpTariffs
