I bought an Android-based standalone MP3 player (I'm a longtime iPhone user) and I'm appalled - HORRIFIED - at trying a bunch of the top-rated music apps and they ALL alphabetize by "The" so 90% of the bands on the planet file under T. Only one, @gonemadsoftware.bsky.social, passed this basic test.

I don't care for COVID-themed movies, but SCENES FROM AN EMPTY CHURCH is an incredible one. Noticed it's streaming on Tubi, and it's an easy recommend. Spiritual, metaphysical, sad, and funny. A hangout movie about human connection in a time when people can't hang out. tubitv.com/movies/63677...

If you have a non-profit movie theater, film festival, archive or other institution that you admire, frequent or just want to see exist, now would be a good time to donate to them. The gutting of the NEA funding makes things only more precarious for these orgs, many of who already struggle.
